Also might add, a Brisbane game in Melbourne attracts a fair amount of the old Fitzroy brigade. So that in itself makes that crowd figure today even worse (but nobody will say anything about it - unless it’s Port)

Let me assure you, Victorians are just as p***** off that these two clubs in particular have got so much help from the AFL in terms of fixturing and FTA exposure, having done nothing whatsoever to deserve it.
Yet it possibly has to do with the names Fitzpatrick and Demetriou. And the whiff of dodginess that hangs around the upper levels of the AFL.

West Coast's are third on percentage with about 10 minutes to go. Another goal and they jump Port to second, another two and they jump GWS to top.
Gold Coast will drop 5 places tonight and at least one tomorrow, unless St Kilda do the unthinkable and beat Geelong at whatever Kardinia Park is called at the moment.

I don’t get how they stuffed this up. The original wings left plenty of room for a sponsor in between, especially a square one like the current HJs logo.

Their original guernsey combo was just about the best there was. Then some bozo decided that they needed to sell more off-field merch and that way forward was navy.

But also a tripanel. And a swooping ochre gradient. And bloody hell.

The fact their support had to launch an extended grass roots appeal just to return to common sense boggles the mind.

Hard to judge the Gold Coast one. That was an absolute gift to West Coast. WC probably would have won anyway, but GC probably had about the worst preparation possible for that game.
