Don't give a shit about tonight's game.

I never thought I'd see the day but I think I'm losing my passion for AFL :( I mean my love for the PAFC is something that will never leave me and I'll support this club until I die but I can't appreciate the game itself anymore when half of it is just so blatantly rigged i.e bias umpiring in certain games, players not being suspended when they should have been.

My wish is that the AFL just let everything pan out naturally instead of orchestrating the narratives.
It's not only you, but I feel there is more people than you know who feel the same way, even retired players.
What people understood before the game was picked apart were the supporters who knew what was what when it come to rulings, but now it seems to have disconnected the once understood supporter into a land of bewilderment.

I have been standing next to this post for a while now.

This is the most inconsequential Friday night game ever played.
I've come to the conclusion that for all the things wrong with games like this on a Friday night, by far the worst is the Channel 7 commentators pretending that they give a crap and talking the game up.

Bruce just now was like "It's been an interesting first half"

Umpires have called holding the ball twice where the ball carrier didn't have any prior. And both for the Bulldogs. A Carlton player picked up the ball and had Bulldogs players hanging onto him and holding onto his arms. He tried to release the ball but couldn't and the umpire called holding, must have assumed as he was moving forward he had prior opportunity. Umpires are guilty for assuming too often and the assumption is nearly always wrong. Same when Carlton were in their forward line, a player had no prior opportunity but the umpire decided he did as he was pushing forward with Bulldog players holding onto him. Seems the best idea is to not try to get free and move, just wave your arms at the ball.
No team is really being favoured. The Bulldogs lead the frees but the count is only 12-8. It was 6-6 at quarter time but 6-2 in that quarter was not odd based on how much of the play the Bulldogs had.
