Well, looks like I'll get my second wish for this game at least, the cows losing and saying bye-bye to finals. My first would have been a West Coast loss as it would be better for us, and Adelaide are almost dead in the water anyway.
It's still mathematicly possible for the Crows to make the finals for 2 more weeks.

There's still entertainment to be had.

The best thing is how they built this game up as the return of their guns and the step on the road to good footy and redemption. Douglas was all "it's been the best week since I've been at the club" and they were all "can't wait to get out there and play good footy."

Not looking that way at all.

NUFC, YES.
Tex just celebrated like he sealed the game.
You know that scene towards the end of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford?

Tex (Casey Affleck) is big-upping himself on stage and we're all sat here like "COWARD!"

If they go on to lose this, which they should, and then get flogged by Richmond, the crowd figure for the Geelong game will be fascinating.
Their Thursday night game is in school holidays, which is when the crowds for Thursday Night games get a massive bump. They'll pull in more than us and ignore the holiday factor in the narrative.

It's pretty predictable.

Round 22 against North at Sunday twilight will be the most telling of how many 'true supporters' they have but you just know they'll blame the timeslot and the opposition.

The Crows board is openly talking about tanking for draft picks.
I would be ashamed of any Port supporter that did that.
Even if they did do that they could only possibly drop below Essendon, Fremantle and the Bulldogs. The way they're playing at the moment they could do that without tanking anyway.
