I am going to Canberra for work tomorrow. I briefly considered going a day earlier to watch this game but I didn't want to miss our game vs WC. I made the wrong choice.
We should be thankful that James Cook captained the Endeavour, If T Walker captained it Australia may never have been found by the English... Or should I say Texan's!!!

There are apparently more of them here than in Sydney. Their recent record here doesn't hurt either. Who'd have thought that regularly winning your home games is good for membership and bums on seats.

This season it's become common practice to go goal less in a last quarter or even completely scoreless in others. I'm just done with the club at this stage, I've gotta work out how to turn off auto-renew now. I was ****** off and everyone I know was about Hinkley and their delusional selling of that to the fans as if it was something everyone wanted and then the season has panned out just like the last 4, a complete waste of time.

Call the club and pull the pin, there will be plenty doing that I think. People won’t tolerate another wasted season on the back of the recruits be brought in.
There was a serious proposal to upgrade the ground to 25,000 and look to splitting games between here and Sydney but it went the way of most ACT Government initiatives. The joys of a minority Labor/Green government. Ground does have excellent lighting though, it hosts D/N cricket and I think a test match next year too.
