Hate the feeling. Don't have that same excitement as I used to going to games. Crowds have dropped significantly over the last couple of years and especially this year.
If ^ is depressing don't go to Alberton. To say the crowds there are modest is an under-statement.
My passion for all things Port Adelaide is now somewhere between resignation and defeat.
Bad luck is one thing boring inefficient ugly footy that's obsessed with defence is something else.
What hurts is that imo the PAFC has been used as a vehicle by those who've hijacked it's proud history and it's fan's passion.
Deep down I really doubt whether Hinkley sees us as anything more than an employment opportunity.
A stage in his career. I see the PAFC as a lot more than that and pay to do so both in $ and emotional investment.
In other words KH has taken the club and me for a ride and i'm close to saying "stop the car I wanna get out, oh and btw GAGF"

North trailing now. I'm not sure if this is good for us or not. On one hand obviously it's good for us if a team who could tip us out of the eight loses. On the other hand the Roos winning would show the players and coach that they had pissed away the season with the last few losses, giving them a second chance could be counteractive and not give them the kick up the bum they need.

Nah, making finals is good, even if we are shit.

You're probably right. Anyway, whatever happens I don't expect this lot to learn a damn thing. It seems to be ingrained into Port, Mark Williams was a good attacking coach but then became obsessed with defence, Hinkley was doing well in 2013 and 2014 till he got the same paranoia.

Roos only leading by eight, they would need to win by 40-50 to overtake us and then Sydney would have to win by 30 to knock us out of the eight. Quite possible we'll still be in the eight at the end of the day and we can say "We exist to be in the eight until finals".
You just know we will get right to the final hurdle and miss the finals by a kick against the Bombers.

It is our MO

:rolleyes:They just showed the Ryan mark on the footy show, clearly see pittard get two hands on it first and no one mentions it
Yeah it was clear even at normal speed on TV Pittard got to it first. Not mentioned by anyone on the commentary team of course. Quelle surprise...

It’s a bad call but by bad call standards it’s pretty generic, but the fact no one in game questioned it on any of the replays then in the cold light of day it gets ignored while other shit gets dissected for an eternity just shows what a joke the media is and how little they care about port Adelaide.

Both very similar coaches. Both stubborn, both hand out gold passes and play favourites, both implemented insane and frustrating gameplans, both motivators (but then it loses its magic and you want to throttle them), both ego maniacs who try to hold our club to ransom. Well i think/hope Hinkley's reign will end in a very similar fashion to Chocco's.

Maybe just maybe, one day we won't fall for the convincing used car salesman at interview.

Had a chuckle at that too. Oh Boy Oh Boy Wowee the year needs to end quick so I can escape Big Footy and return to my normal self and wait all summer to see the first pics of Ken back on Diet Coke lying in a hammock at training watching Neade in the ruck program.
The off-season on big footy is something to behold. Logo design threads, why can’t we be pirates threads, random chat about how shit cricket is, plus the usual let’s pump ourselves up to be excited again threads.

It’s not to be missed.

I don't care that they don't care. I'd just like commentators to call the game in front of them for both teams. As much as I hate to give Eddie a rap, at least when he's commentating, he's not a Club President.

It is the only real time to be hopeful as a Port Adelaide supporter, without your will to continue as a member getting completely crushed on gameday. Good times.

I was going to join the chorus of "no more memberships for me" (four at our place) until I stared wistfully at my 2018 members pen and fridge magnet. How will I survive a season without these fan essentials?
