Umpires call was touched

If you are talking about the one I think you are -The Geelong one in the last quarter - the umpires call was touched and the review confirmed it so there was no overrule.
My mistake, I thought the umpire's original call was a goal. They said 'ball was touched, confirm behind', which I still find odd, because I couldn't see any evidence of the ball being touched. If it had been ruled as inconclusive, that would've been fine.

because we could be in that position if we finished 6th and not 5th lol..
Coulda, shouldov.... doesn't matter, regardless of where you finish and who you play...... Winning is the only option...

Right now its all about momentum, North had it, and we have it should we keep up momentum.....

I think Norf are a chance next week. Sydney might go in with the attitude that they aren't a threat . That is a dangerous attitude to take
All I'll say is, remember the 1999 preliminary final? Carlton apparently had no right to beat Essendon, but they kicked 14:19 in the cauldron of a preliminary final, and lost by a point.

Did Mark Mercuri ever play another good game after that?

Does Dean Wallis still have nightmares about his brain-fart?

And how annoying is the score box in the top left of screen?

The value of North getting John Donohue as their wrestling and tackling coach stood out like a sore thumb tonight.

Lindsey Thomas almost cost North the game tonight, firstly with his stupid pushing Selwood into the fence, but why North continually kicked to him when he was on a bigger opponent in the last quarter. 3 times he was out bodied when an alternative option should have been taken. At the other end Geelong went to the gorilla in Hawkins and he was catching everything.

Reminded me of WCE using of fabulous finals Phil Matera rather than a true KPF as their main target in 2005. Portia will get that.

But Thomas was ripped off 2 or 3 times when he should have got a free kick for being held and pushed in the back. But his staging has spooked the umpires.

Nick De softo was not his usual soft self tonight. He ended up with a black eye and got some bloody telling disposals at critical stage in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Respect!!

Gotta respect Geelong for being able to keep coming back or holding on all year. I think that was the only time they have lost when the margin has been 13 points or less. Think they finished the year 8-1.

As a Port supporter in 2014, this still worries me. Last time vs Freo we got it right with Schulz kicking a bag, let's hope we can repeat that effort.

For a spot in the GF, Sydney will annihilate North next week. Still a decent effort to get to a prelim though, was sick of seeing Geelong up there every year.

Now its our turn, just have to do it the hard way.
As you are no doubt aware, football is a great game and throws up unexpected results all the time.
Playing North isn't a lay down mesare for Sydney and they will have to be on their game to beat them.
Yes, North have had some bad games this year but they finished on the same points as us at the end of H&A season and have also played some great football beating the top 5 teams including Freo and Sydney at home.
