Interesting.............
Simon Goodwin signs with Melbourne Demons, turning his back on former club Adelaide Crows

Goodwin has been an assistant coach at Essendon since 2011 and has signed a five-year contract with the Demons that will see him assume the senior coaching position in 2017.

I'm growing increasingly concerned we may lose someone in the wash up here.
Can't really see that happening. Walsh and Carr won't leave Port, don't think Hart is a candidate for senior coach and can't imagine him taking an assistant coach role anywhere else to cover for an assistant getting the Crows job.
Edwards won't head to the Crows, and can't see him leaving to get another job interstate when he could stay in his home state and keep building cred as a coach in a top 4 team.
The only slight possibility is Nicks, but he seems pretty happy to be at Port and I've not heard anything that he's considering a senior gig or anything, so no real motivation to move if that is the case.

Que sera sera, if one goes it really shouldn't matter all that much, there is so much depth under a truly great leader, there will be a long list of other quality assistants that will jump at the chance to head to Alberton and a bit of fresh blood here and there is a good thing.

To appoint Goodwin as SC of the wanker franchise would have had the potential to tear down the credibility of there greatest football person in Roo. It would have been viewed as a major conflict of interest both internally and externally considering the close bond which exists between the two. I know Roo isn't the most articulate person on the airwaves, but he is smarter then that. It is down to 3 for me...Worsfold, Dew & Bassett, with the latter probably the most unlikely candidate of the 3 due to inexperience and the franchise connection.

On the subject of Chapman's presser...what an bloody embarrassment. i thought I was listening to the latest developments on the floor of parliament house. 15 minutes of cringe-worthy tripe which most of their supporters would have lapped up and salivated over. Pathetic.

Not discounting that TAD. You guys are flying.
Think he was saying that having to pay two coaches (primus and choco) left us with primus and laidley via Skype.

Two years later the real changes happened but there were big changes happening off the field including thwarting Sanfl takeovers ect.

What the crows are going through is small fry compared to what we had to endure.

Didn't Sando say that there was going to be party at his house when the Crows drafted Matt Crouch?

Quite ironic considering Brad and Matt Crouch have alledgedly shafted him

There's your problem group right there. Walker I can understand after the Vince saga, and Dangerfield will want to see who the club gets before deciding whether to leave...but for Chapman to listen to two shit kickers in Brad and Matt Crouch says it all.

Couldn't be happening to a nicer franchise. No sane coach is going to want to touch that cancerous environment when the players rule the roost.

Wait so Melbourne appointed Goodwin on a 5 year deal obviously to take over from Roos being wary of the Crows cutting their lunch but what exactly does Goodbet have going for him that makes him a better successor than Dew?

Crows will make a mistake going down the inexperienced path even with someone as quality as Dew, they need someone with similar philosophies & experience that Ken offered us, if I were Roo Leigh Tudor would be my first choice he's been great for North.

Not that I really care what they do, this whole debacle has been much more embarrassing than our Choc/Primus split seeing as Sando actually had a decent W/L record & the lunatics (players) are running the asylum.

Agree with your second part. You guys were out on your knees, barely breathing.
