Not because its them but seems bizarre to move from 10 to 14. If Durdin is there and goes in that range, i wonder how they will feel.
Mathematically it makes sense, but we are not talking maths here, the difference between 10 and 14 is not on a gradual decline, it's a fair cliff.

So the BIG NEWS stupid has been batting on about for weeks is the signing of Ryan Okeefe (who was recruited prior to the head coach in the states worst kept secret) and David Teague as assistant coaches to compliment Scott Camporeale, Darren Milburn and Matthew Clarke, while having Mark Bickely leave the coaches box.

Not always - the Crows must have judged 10-14 very even or they have a player in mind like we drafted Impey last year.

They've given up a top 10 pick and exchange of lower picks to drop 4 spots down the first round pecking order. We did a swap of picks as a necessary evil in our plot to grab Polec. Polec was a win with Impey at 21 the cherry on top. They have no such plan and the entire move is a gamble in an open draft.

Caro reckons the AFL is trying hard to give Port at least three Friday night games next year, mainly because of the exciting brand of footy they play.
Gill has been big on encouraging the clubs to play more attacking footy so I wouldn't be surprised if he uses the fixture as a pawn in the crusade and we reap the benefits.
Also heard a few times channel 7 commentators calling us the "most watchable" side in the comp so there could be a push from the broadcasters to get more PAFC games.

All I'll say is he clearly has strengths. Tactically he is meant to be astute etc.
Its been said for quite some time that his dealings with media have been an issue so I guess much of his media is going to be very stage managed... but I reckon the work experience kid that put this together was probably the same one that did their Virgin competition entry.
