The curse of Norm Smith ... Their most successful coach ... sacked by the board in mid 60s, re-instated but left in '67 ... have won nothing since ... rarely a final appearance either.
Their last successful coach now has motor neuron disease, and the coach after him is deceased. Bizarre.

Out of interest, do you play Joe Esposito's 'You're the best around' each week you win you SC game?

Or each week you fear hearing that Daniel Larusso Is going to fight?
I just sweep the legs.

Kreuzer has gone down with another foot fracture. What a waste of superior talent he is turning out to be.

Injuries mounting as the season approaches, exactly what Burgo said would happen.
Kreuzer was a dominant junior who seemed to have the skill and ability of a regular midfielder.

But it never really translated to AFL. Sure he's had his injuries, but even when fit, the most he's shown are glimpses.

The two next rucks drafted after him have both comfortably surpassed him (McEvoy and Lobbe).

Similar to the Boston Red Sox - The Curse of the Bambino.

Whenever I think of Kreuzer, I think of the multiple goals he kicked against us in their comeback win in the last quarter against us in the rain about 5 or 6 years ago :(
2008. His first season. Won the match for them in that last quarter.

i remember i was sitting down the grandstand end, and the carlton supporters up in the stands every time the ball was kicked his way "KRUUUUUUUUUUU" and he would always mark it and kick the goal.

Jeez they'd kill for Sam Jacobs now the Blues
They'd kill for just about any talls. At this very moment in time, from the outside, their list isn't in great shape, not just in lack of quality talls but also in terms of age profile.

Interesting to see how they approach the next few draft and trade periods.

you'd assume it'd improve under Steven Silvagni, now he's back at the club
