Things that will happen when Dangerfield goes to Gee long

1. Crows fans will finally acknowledge their easy draw
2. Crows fans will blame said draw for low priority pick received and say it's unfair
3. Crows fans will acknowledge Dangerfields bad disposal, bad decision making, selfishness and ego.
4. Crows fans will flood the top 10 player threads arguing why Dangerfield is nowhere near it
5. Port fans will develop a bit if a soft spot for Dangerfield

Anything else?

I'm not totally convinced that he's even leaving, appears to be the sort of bloke that will sign 1 year contracts for the rest of his career to keep himself front and centre of whichever team he plays for.

That would be the absolute DREAM outcome for anybody who wants the Crows to struggle.
They get nothing for a player that has little long term value to them.
They pay overs for him.
His contract situation is a thorn in their side every season!

TBH I think he's staying, he loves being a big fish in a small pond and the limelight that comes with it.

Attention seeking slut.

There is a multitude of reasons why we hate Dangerfield, but one of the biggest reasons is that he plays for that team. Should he change that, I can't help but l̶i̶k̶e̶ hate him a tiny bit m̶o̶r̶e̶ less.

I used to think the same about Wayne Carey and Norf but when he left I still hated him just as much (and Norf). Spuddy Clangerwince is a flog at the Cows and will be a flog wherever he ends up, simply because he is a FIGJAM look at me player with no real concept of doing the team thing.

Nah, he has the smarmy twat type of face that needs to meet a baseball bat.

Though that's based on his face reflecting the shitbox Guernsey he is forced to wear.

Funny to look back and see the sort of trades that were made back in the early 2000s. No way would a 30+ year old key forward coming off a year out of the game fetch pick 2 these days, even if his name were Wayne Carey. We traded pick 4 for Darryl Wakelin in 2000 and whilst Darryl was a very solid player there is no way you'd be giving up pick 4 for a player of that caliber today. Draft pick inflation, gotta love it.
Wakelin was more than solid. He was an important piece in a premiership puzzle. I will go as far to say no Wakelin = no premiership ... actually that's going too far but he is an all time great port player.

26-27 years old and about to hit peak form, with an SANFL and AFL grand final under his belt. Apparently we were close to getting Shane as well but I think there were some injury concerns.

The 'come home' factor is soooo much more amplified for us when former Port Adelaide Magpies come back to the club - you just know they're going to give their all. Wanganeen, Bond, Lyle, Brown, Chalmers, Wakelin, Ebert...

But if he leaves West Lakes, later returns to Adelaide Oval in his new colours, kicks a goal and proceeds to give the Crows faithful the bird, I'll DEFINITELY have a soft spot for him!!!
