Geez we're truly an awful team this year. Our inability to beat Carlton isn't too far from losing to Gold Coast and GWS in the Primus days.
Nah nothing like it. We are a far better team than that era. Not far away imo. Don't make finals 2 out of 3 if we are as bad as some people like to rant on about.

And we have beaten Hawthorn 2 out of the last three times we have played them. We are not nearly as bad as some people on our board say. Talk about negative.
I wouldn't put the reaction to our season down to gratuitous negativity, I think it's more disappointment stemming from the overt optimism of the preseason. It's only natural.

Brisbane are the only AFL club in legitimate need of assistance, but you would be kidding yourself if you expect him to push their case.
The same Brisbane that beat us by 6 goals?
The same Brisbane who can't manage to hang onto players they drafted?
The same Brisbane that had COLA/player retention allowance and used this loophole to retain players leading to a hat trick of premierships
The same Brisbane that won a preliminary final victory against us using intravenous drips at half time?

Yeah, **** Brisbane.

Carlton have possibly finished 2 coaching careers in the one season. Problem for the AFL is the rematch before the finals being on a Friday night. Maybe they could program 2 Friday night games and pretend the Hawks / Carlton game isn't happening.

Floating final round means it doesn't have to be on a Friday night. Saturday far more likely. With any luck Freo will get their season back on track and finish top so they deserve a Friday night before finals. Otherwise I can easily see a Collingwood/Essendon or a Richmond/Norf game getting the nod

Freo won't get Friday Night as the play on Sunday in round 22.

Get set for Hawthorn v Carlton on Friday night again this year in round 23.

Due to the floating schedule in round 23, the top teams get the advantage heading into the finals.

West Coast, Sydney and Freo all play on the Sunday in round 22. Due to the AFLPA bargaining agreement, they must get a 6 day break which means that the earliest they can play is on the Saturday in round 23.

Therefore that means the Hawks will be the only team in top 4 who can play on the Friday night.

That will make 8 Friday night games for Carlton this year :drunk:

Great, get set for another f**king Sunday twilight game for us then
F*** the AFL and their Vic/carlton bias, I'm over that shit.
If Carlton get AT LEAST one Friday Night, there'll be pitchforks. I bet $1000000 GWS will not get a Friday and they're 10000% better than Carlton
