More than half of Sydney's spend is on their veterans list, half of which is outside the cap anyway.
Don't get tricked by the graph - they've used a bit of license with it, ie it starts at 7.5mil not 0. So half a column doesn't mean half of Sydney's TPP is going to veterans. Looks like its infact ~1.5mil out of ~10.7mil. Probably accounting for Goodes and O'keefe.

Your underlying point is correct though.

My COL compromise would be to take the average wage and calculate the extra COL allowance based on that.

That way the extra allowance per player would be more reflective of the true costs of living rather than their inflated salaries.

Also is the minimum wage 10% higher for Sydney players or can they still pay them base? If not it should be

We ****ed Guerra off.

Gunston ****ed off from you lot.

Big difference.

If you were intelligent enough you would have said Burgoyne but that is obviously not your strong point so I'll leave it there.
You do realise Gunston left the Crows because he didnt like Adelaide the City (not the Footballl club), he said something along the lines of "it was changing my personality and making me an angry person". Genuinely funny stuff but he didnt hate the club as you guys so desperately hope for.

You do realise that the draft sanctions you received were for a minor clerical error dont you?

You're wrong... you not liking the facts does not change them ... Gunston, according to crowbot management was about to re-sign, suddenly up & ****ed off.

A bloke does not let things carry on like that if he hated the locality, he'd would've said I'm off prior to any contract negotiations, nope, he just plain hated it at Karparkistan ... and that's totally understandable.

History suggests he isn't the only one.

But see, your club is a tiny microcosm of all things Adelaide - Small minded, always following and trying to keep up with the Jones's (us), always thinking small and looking inward etc. I'm surprised you don't have Leon Byner as your ground announcer, Melvin Mansell as your media manager, or try and morph your club emblem into the 1980's 'SA Great' logo. That would pretty much complete the picture.

Contrast this with the big picture looking, expansive thinking Port Adelaide and is it any wonder our boys don't get so homesick?

This could not be more perfect.

And here's my Venn diagram of 'Leon Byner listeners' and 'Adelaide Crows supporters':

Does anyone remember _Me, the muppet who cried black and blue that Boak had signed with Geelong? Well I just went on the Cats board to read about Vardy and came across his thread on Shane Mumford- had to laugh.

"Have it on good authority that the sausage man is off to the hawks. The deal is done.
Bailey is retiring.
More reason to hate the hawks."

Bermberkleferd pls.

You know nothing of traffic pain.

I suffered Sydney traffic for a few years, so I know what you mean, but it's almost the fact that Frome St is such a short, straight run that having to stop every 100m becomes even more frustrating.

Is it like the 45 minutes it can take you to drive the 1km of Market St in peak hour.
Nowhere near it (45 min) but significantly more frustrating as Market st peak hour traffic at least is a valid reason for the delays.

Effing Adelaide CBD peak hour traffic is a joke because there is NO LOGICAL reason for the delays. The volume of traffic is a pittance compared to Syd/Melb CBD yet we suffer bs delays.

And dont get me started on effing roadworks. I had the 'honour' of slowing to 25k the other day because a contractor was paving a drive way IN THE SIDE STREET. ******* bs Adelaide traffic.

oops, wrong thread. Sorry peeps.

driving down any of adelaides cbd streets at 5am as i do every morning is a laugh. stopping every 20 metres and sitting there while the lights do their full rotation when there isnt a living soul in sight is heaps fun. then slowing down to 25km for the guy who sits in his ute waiting for the guy who will reverse his truck in on port road is like icing on the cake. the port road wetlands upgrade is the ultimate at taking the piss. nothing like being stuck behind some douche doing 30km for the entire 2 km it stretches for at 5 in the morning when they dont start work there until sun up and the whole thing is fenced off anyway. but heck , its only been 5 years , who am i to complain. ive driven around melb a fair bit and generally you can get further quicker because of all their highways. in melb i can travel 30 km in 13 minutes. try driving 30km across adelaide. it would take you 3 times as long. its only peak times that screw you over.

I laughed hard at this knowing how you feel. Except replace 5AM with 4AM for me.
