So now we are left with Preliminary Finals that have:

1 v 3; and
2 v 8.

I have said it before, this does not sit well with me and it takes these kind of extreme examples to show the flaw in the system.

So much for finishing higher on the ladder after 22 rounds.

Learner driver caught doing burnouts with mother in car while drunk in Mornington, Victoria

Police said they found a Mercedes sedan doing a burnout and the air was full of smoke. The 24-year-old learner driver was pulled over and police said his mother was in the car with him .... A short time later, another man arrived in a car and parked in a disabled zone. Police said he was found to be unlicensed and also the brother of the man they had just arrested.

Collingwood recruiting staff interested, enquire if either man has played Aussie Rules. I may have made that last bit up.
It will be alright, there was a cat being sick in the back seat of the car.

West Coast winning the flag will hurt the most as they haven't done the hard yards, they would have just snuck into the finals, and it will be a reminder that it should have been us.

North won't win it, so not worried about them. If Hawthorn win it, so be it.

My preference is Freo.

I am not sure if we can post betting stuff in here but Crownbet have Elliot Yeo and Mark LeCras at $41 for Norm Smith. They are both those type of players who could win them a GF. They are basically in the GF already so it's decent odds for them both.

How wasn't it injuries? Franklin, Jack, Parker, Reid. Take out the equivalent players from any other team and they'd be in the same position.
It's for this reason that I'd like West Coast to win.
They lost their best defender in McKenzie before the season started, and Brown soon after.
Kennedy has played with an injury since the week before they played us in round 6. He has been exceptional.
They obliterated Hawthorn in the QF without Masten (who is an underrated midfielder these days) and Priddis (who remains underrated despite his Brownlow).
When they lost to Hawthorn earlier in the year, they did so without the most influential player in the competition (Natanui) and people barely pointed this out.

Under Adam Simpson, this team has just got on with it. Their backline has held up incredibly well, aided by the rest of the team, in a stellar example of what team-care and team defence actually means.
They have played breathtakingly exciting football, while maintaining superb defence.

If ever a team has gone about its business in a humble, efficient manner without using excuses and deserves a flag, it is West Coast.

The other three teams, their coaches and players, do nothing positive for me as a neutral supporter.

Perhaps, but I have more pride in premierships with local and drafted and developed players like Tredders, Cornes, Wangas, Carr, Wakelin... I know 2004 did have a few blow ins but was built on the back of Port players.
Will never happen again and Cornes? Not ours.

Didn't say they hadn't as clearly they did. Simply commenting on the fact that for some clubs to blame injuries it is seen as legitimate but for others it isn't. Expecting to see Swans ridiculed for a lack of depth.

Portz Powas had no injuries in 2015.

What exactly do you think is the flaw in the system?

West Coast are going to make the grand final on the back of beating a grand total of 1 (Richmond) top 8 team away from home for the whole season plus finals. Let that sink in for a moment.
