If you don't like opposition supporters posting here, then say so.
It's not that you're opposition, it's that you're stupid and probably house an extra chromosome.

Pretty sure I know what history is.

That was my point. Don't take what I say seriously. But we do exist to make you laugh.

Oh really? You would think from my post that I was sure they were the same team. Do I have to make it more obvious that poking a bit of fun at the club I support? As 1860s Adelaide had the same name as 1990s Adelaide, we could pretend they are the same team.

Guys, do you approve of opposition supporters posting here occasionally? This thread doesn't say 'no opposition supporters' and I'd rather have the opportunity for the occasional debate then be banned. Don't answer that here, it'll detail the thread, but a pm would be appreciated.

Ha hahahah that's the most idiotic and pathetic response I've seen on BF and that saying something :).
Wow, just wow...now that was a GOOD joke, a picture of your bookshelf with some pop history books.
You do realise the name of the city is Adelaide don't you? It tends to be used for a lot of things.

It's a generational thing too. Kids now will never know life without West coast and Crows. They will never know how it felt when they were conceived and that hollow feel that a supporter of an old club felt they had. So I think the next generation will see crows as much more of a club than us old buggas do.
Not when they ask grandad "what's the crows" and grandad reply's
#shitclubnohistody !

Jake Melksham quiting Essendon.

Oh no! With Jake Carlisle also quitting and Jason Winderlich retiring, there's only 8 players with names starting with "J" left and only one named Jake.

James Hird will be disappointed.

Edit: Just realised we have 12 J names on our list, well 10 now. :$

It'd be safer to steal gold from a dragon than post here right now. Blur your eyes and you might see a wonderful 'Port' tag in my avatar.
Joking ahead.
Last Christmas did all of you get this?

The earliest recorded football club in the state was Adelaide Football Club, formed in 1860. In the early years of South Australian football, the competition’s rules and regulations were constantly under negotiation. There became a growing need for a structure in South Australian football.

The clubs involved - Adelaide (est. 1860), Port Adelaide (est. 1870), Willunga, South Park, North Adelaide, Kapunda, Bankers, Gawler, Prince Alfred College, South Adelaide (est. 1876), Victorian and Woodville - all contested the 1877 season.

Look, we're older than you! We should have 1860 on the backs of our jumpers! ;)
Yes, I know they ARE NOT the same club.

Before 2010, you were supporting an AFL team that was thirteen years old. :D

Jokes aside, for you guys who grew up a die-hard Port supporters, and witnessed the intentional creation of a new team, of course you'd call Adelaide FC a franchise club. Yet for people who under 25 (who have never lived before the Adelaide Crows existed) and people in their thirties, they wouldn't remember a time without Adelaide in the league. That's all they know, and to them (me I suppose) the club does have history and culture. It's perspective. It takes time to build, we know that.

Say there's a theoratical club that was founded in the 16th century and they have such a vibrant, strong culture and history. Their founding story has practically become legend (their inaugural captain was a conquistador kicking around the head of a slain rival, or something). What would their fans say about Port Adelaide's history and culture? (Don't answer, keep your thread on its lovely track).

Well, keep having fun, but be careful not to wear out your keyboards. If this posts incites a debate, I won't reply to it, as that's not what these sorts of threads are for, and as I follow footy casually I would do a disservice in attempting to defend my club if need be. I have one question though? Do you appreciate Adelaide Crows being in the comp? No, not for when we stuff up, but for the rivalry and banter?

And again, this is a joke.

If you have followed #shitclubnohistory all your life, maybe you can answer a question for me. What does your club stand for? What is it all about? What's at it's core?

I read that as stiffi wins and was like
Graham Johncock

Makes you wonder how many wags out there go out and get a dress and end up that their partner doesn't get invited

So the original club was founded in 1860 and folded in 1893.

By my maths that means the Adelaide Crows will cease to exist in 2023.
This is not the norwood board.
