I feel like I have been let down.
Did Dingle just return and no one else notice?

Just slides right back in, like he was never gone.Did Dingle just return and no one else notice?
It appears moreso that you have been let out or releasedI feel like I have been let down.
They did offer 2 firsts didn't they? I thought that was the story early in trade period. The Bennell trade happened after GWS refused the offer.
We'll never know, but if we'd managed to get past Collingwood, would we have challenged Brisbane a week later? The Lions were awesome in that grand final.2003 Prelim on FF right now.
A truly bizarre game. Just 20 points in it with 10 minutes left in Q3, Paxman playing across half-forward, Peter Burgoyne playing out of the goalsquare, Monty playing loose in the backline and Stevens/Carr/Kane getting absolutely isolated and smashed by a cavalcade of Collingwood spuds.
Pickett, Shaun, Schofield and Che running between the arcs like unregistered dogs. Forward structure non-existent despite Tredrea, Chad and Lade all present.
Allan Scott may have ultimately been wrong, but Williams performance in the 2003 finals series was utterly stupefying.

I think Brett have a pain killing injection in his ankle that day?I was sitting in row M behind the goals when Ebert took that shot, and even though I was nowhere near in a direct line with his aim, I could see before he kicked it that he was not going to get that goal. I could see him making the effot to get it onto the correct aiming point and failing.
Choco could coach alright ... just wouldn't listenHave we ever truly had a thread on whether Choco could actually coach or not? Nobody else has ever given him a gig.
Don't the players scoff down 'snakes' and jelly babies post game? That's it. I'm not scoffing at the fact people are saying you shouldn't drink 3 cokes and eat a Berliner every morning, just this trend of any and all sugar being likened to sweet asbestos.
I mean the Crows TaliaDidn't he go to Sydney?

My memory of that game, having not seen it since that day, had us being steamrolled by one of those magical Collingwood performances of 2002-3 despite them being wildly inferior man-for-man.
But honestly, the way the team was configured in that third quarter with it relatively close as the Pies began to kick away and put it to bed was borderline treasonous.
Here is a Port Adelade team with a 19-5 record on the season, set out like a fourth division team attempting to vanquish Manchester United in an FA Cup tie on Football Manager, attempting to win by hoodwinking the match engine on quirk alone.
Collingwood, while incredibly efficient at profiting from our wastefulness/turnovers, were as ordinary as Brisbane made them look the week after, with the difference being the Lions didn't set out their stall with Mal Michael playing across HFF, Lynch leading to the wing, Shaun Hart playing full-forward and Voss/Black allowed to be swarmed by Woewodin/Licuria/Holland/O'freaking'Bree.

Here is the last showdown at Football Park .. what a bloody win by the boys ... enjoy it again ..
I was there, it has a special spot on my list of poo-like games. MCG info message shortly (minutes?) before the game started saying Primus and Francou withdrawn. Nick Stevens playing as if already in the Collingwood colours he expected to wear in 2004, IMO seemed to be defending against Tredrea for patches. Neon Leon Davis doing to us what he always did to us but to no-one else. The abusive gloating we copped afterwards is like nothing I've seen before or afterwards, sustained all the way to the Punt Rd train station. Our 2013 elimination final win had special significance for me, a pity I piked out on going.2003 Prelim on FF right now.
