Frawley is a good player but is he worth around 9% of a clubs salary cap?
I personally think free-agency sucks. If a player really wants to move clubs they still could with the old system and the majority of the time they will get to where they want to go and I can't think of a player who hasn't got to at least the right state they wanted too.

I think we've used free agency well. We haven't paid overs instead using longer contracts to woo the player of choice. With Monfries the Bombers were only prepared to give him 2 years whereas we went in with 4. White was a similar story. At least this way we don't upset our current players by paying new recruits more.
How do they decide the better deal? IS it total output $

It looks like the Essendon player is going to sledge him then thinks 'Nah he's embarrassed enough'
yeah. he can't even claim tired legs as an excuse - it's at the start of the first quarter!

what an inspirational captain he is. you can't say the carlton players don't follow his example

grew up in Fulham. Place is going down hill fast.
Don't fret, there isn't actually a Bakers Delight in Fulham. I suspect that they mean the Bakers Delight at Fulham Gardens (Target Shopping Centre on Tapleys Hill Road) but Fulham sounds so much better.

I don't know if it was from the same incident, but one of the Monday footy shows highlighted an Essendon first year player who was sledging Murphy, without much response form Murphy or his team mates.

This is why I hope the Crows start to get a few wins..is a tough trade off. Love seeing them lose, comedy gold, but don't want them getting a high draft pick. Finishing around 10th is ideal.
They're still out of the first two rounds of the draft this year aren't they? Other than picks traded in?

Frawley is an unrestricted agent thanks to a massively front ended contract by Melbourne.

He can walk out of Melbourne to a club of his choice.

There supposedly are clubs willing to pay that sort of coin so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up.
Somehow I see him joining Hawthorn... Aging (32) and injury prone Lake. Cashed up not having to pay Franklin. He has a contract/clause to go until 2015 or 2016, but surely they'd go for Frawley so they don't have to play an undersized backline?

... But with Clark gone they'd have a lot of cap space ....
The circumstances of this make me wonder if the AFL need some in-season mechanism to compensate clubs caught out like this. IMO being able to draft someone left over from last year's pool would seem the least that could be done.

Nah, they'd just draft an undersized midfielder/hff anyway.

Hahaha the funny part is that I actually mean Fulham Gardens! My parents still live there off Cheadle Street, my cousins and I called it the 'G' to differentiate it from Fulham.

So now, being away from there for 16 years, I wonder why 'Fulham' sounds any better.....after all the 'G' was where it was all at!
