The whinging on the Bombers board about the Goddard suspension is hilarious.

He deserves everything he gets. Hits Cornes behind the play with a cheap shot.

If a 100kg man is choking you from above like that, at what point do you not start throwing fists and elbows to protect yourself?

Petrie showed remarkable restraint. Lake is a lunatic.
I read an article once where Stewie Loewe was saying how Plugger Lockett had some poor guy in a headlock once and Stewie reckons his eyes were rolling back in his head. Stewie told Plugger to stop because he was killing the guy so Tony let go. I don't think the other guy was able to throw any punches.

Wouldn't give games for it, all in the game. Wasn't everyone around here cracking the shits about Hamish's suspension only a month ago?

I'm sure there's an interview with that player where he said he thought he was about to die.

Life ban.

Set a standard PAFC. We want a family environment and opposition supporters welcome.

Toby was the dominant tall forward on the day.
Toby was the best key forward to play alongside Tredders. He just kept out of his way and dragged a tall defender with him. And occasionally benefited from wandering into the right spot. Smart guy Toby, no wonder he's in the coaching box now. ;)

not only behind the play, but done it after a goal had been kicked and waited until Cornes was looking away.

Not this year, he is a permanent member in the crowd, downing beers wearing his Hamish Hartlett guernsey

Yeah after a bit of googling it was Scott Thompson I was thinking of. I think...

Nah it was Brad Fox who was the guy you were thinking of.

Found this as well whilst looking it up haha, couldn't find any footage though.

I know Brad Fox though I haven't seen him for a couple of years.
He's told the story a few times of what happened that day and the lead up to Plugger snapping.

Without going into the full details, you might remember it was around the time that there was a big furore in the media about (corrected to) breeding substitution with Lockett's greyhounds. In fact it was just before the story hit the papers (end edit).

As the story goes, the Saints were playing Essendon and in those days, the ball hardly came down to the Saints forward line. This was well before flooding and zones so the two of them spent most of the game standing in the Saints goal square together shivering. Brad claims he was passing the time making conversation. He asked "how's things?" to which he got a grunt. Five minutes later he made a comment about the weather to which he also got another grunt. Five minutes later, he asked him, "how's your greyhounds going?" Apparantly he snapped at this and applied the headlock. Brad reckoned he was starting to lose conciousness and could just hear Stewie Lowe screaming "let him go Plugger, you're gonna f***n' kill him".

Brad has never spoken to him since and in hindsight can only hypothesise that Lockett thought Brad knew something about the greyhound doping story that was about to break.

Brad has the distinctive male pattern baldness of the reverse GT stripe down the top of his head. His standing joke when asked what happened to his hair was for many years, "it's still in Plugger's armpit!".
