I thought Robbie might have been top 5.
Has Jacobs really had that big of a big year?
Murphy?

ESSENDON legend Tim Watson has accused Kane Cornes of staging for an incident that will see Brendon Goddard miss the Bombers’ clash against Collingwood.
A “bitterly disappointed” Goddard reluctantly yesterday accepted a one-week ban for his off-the-ball hit on Cornes on Saturday.
Goddard would have risked a two-week ban if he took it to the tribunal.
The Bombers said yesterday they had consulted a pair of legal experts but given the hit was deemed intentional they could not find a loophole to challenge.

Pleading not guilty was always going to get him the maximum possible. Had he pled guilty it may have been 3 with the 25% off for an early plea. He wouldn't have been able to get a further 25% with a good record as he was suspended in the GF.

Robbie might be unlucky in that he is the type of player who gets the ball in traffic and puts it to good use in a split second so doesn't get noticed like some run and carry players. I think there will be at least 2 where he should have 3 points and he also would have got the second points a few times. The real standout games this year have been a couple by Boak , Schulz against the Bulldogs and Lobbe and Gray against the Saints. I'm sure we will get the majority of the points in the others but it is impossible to know where they will go. For instance, Westhoff got 25 touches, 10 marks and 3 goals against the Bulldogs. He wasn't really all that dominant in that game but umpires are sometimes stats-driven in how they give their votes.

Huddo the flog on AFL 360 said that Kornes staged it too. Little do these Vic stooges realise that Kane was smashed every which way last weekend by Bomber players trying to free up Heppell, but because Kornes has history with staging he gets painted as a diver in this instance.

I'd like anyone in the Vic media compare that behind the play whack to Kane getting done for a push in the back on Mitchell (which also somehow ended up in a 2 week ban down to 1 for good behavior) & tell me the MRP doesn't just hand out 2 weeks randomly to most inconclusive off the ball hits.

It should've been a week down to a reprimand if he had a good record but I don't think this is the first time BJ has whacked a bloke off camera lol.

The evidence doesn't support that. It clearly shows Kane walking and looking the other way when Goddard takes two steps towards him and knocks him down. It was totally unexpected and not staged. The penalty is a joke though. Free kick only.

Just putting it out there,
Any reason, now we have the licence,

Why we cannot just become

"Port Adelaide Football Club" playing in the AFL and our Reserves in the SANFL , and drop reference to the "Power"
I know The Magpie name causes problems with Collingwood & Eddie

Don't get me wrong I'm am very happy with the Power name . But to stamp ourselves as our true Idenity

I still remember watching my first game in '63 ---Port v Glenelg at Glenelg.--- Eric Freeman, Bubbles Obst, Geoff Mötley, young lad named Mathews. Oh the memories!!!

K Cornes should start sueing these campaigners and the AFL!

I remember at the time all these same flogs said Kane deserved the games that he got. Most of the media still think it's the VFL comp and as soon as a melbourne based gets pinged for something like this they all cry foul in the media.

I'd like to know Huddo's thoughts about S Mitchell's grub act on the weekend, I'm sure if this was an interstate player doing this he'd be serving a 2 week ban for it. It's time Mitchell got a piece of his medicine and hope someone KO's him by the time he retires.

Tom Watson said :
"Not being disrespectful to Kane Cornes because he’s a fine player but he does have a reputation in the competition for falling over more often than a one-legged drunk in a hurricane and he doesn’t take a lot of force for him to go to ground and he did that on Saturday night. It is something he really needs to take out of his game.”

How is that not being disrespectful? He's saying Cornes is a stager. Goddard gave Cornes one to go on with behind the play and it was hard enough for Cornes to go down. However, I think Cornes would have preferred if we'd been paid a free kick that led to a goal.
