As enjoyable as it is to see Carlton and Collingwood self destruct, it really highlights how desperately we need members to gain some control of the clubs board. Lots of people in the ‘football industry’ fancy themselves king makers and beyond good governance.
Unfortunately Collingwood and Carlton are membership elected boards which means the AFL will have the opposite view to which you are hoping.

750 votes in front of second. Unbelievable…laughable…

By the strict definition of ‘MVP’, it’s close. Without Bont the Dogs would struggle to make the eight.

Still not a fan of the award, too much of an exposure contest.

Sure supply and demand and Yada yada.

Why do we keep handing the airlines billion dollar handouts every few years to stay afloat tho?

Why do they get to be capitalists when it suits them and socialists when it suits them?

I’ve also spoken recently about the airlines price gouging regarding people trying to fly back to Australia during covid.

If only someone foresaw this Doctor Feel

Came from a Jack Watts thread when we landed him. And my dream of a Watts/Westhoff dynamic duo finally came true. Never thought I'd ever see the day. So, in all the excitement, I got busy on Photoshop...

There's also an Obi-Wan Hoff & Jack Skywalker floating around somewhere. Just before they hit up Mos Eisley. You must learn the ways of the Ports...

I found this in my Imgur uploads last week, and I was trying to remember why I created it:

I guess maybe it had something to do with your original post.

That’s a separate issue. It’s a ridiculously regulated trade worldwide. This not only doesn’t eliminate supply and demand, but aggravate it.

My point was simple: more people wanting to fly to Perth leading prices to go up is not news. It should be expected.

The only way to avoid this is increasing the supply. If that cannot be done (e.g., in a very regulated market), prices will rise. It’s natural.
