Anyone rate GWS a chance tonight? Have beaten Geelong in their last 3 encounters, including at Skilled Stadium.

Sometimes losing your best player even helps to free up the rest of the team, but my biggest concern is Geelong seem to play Optus well after smashing Freo there a few weeks ago and Giants may be fatigued after that clash against Sydney where they had to hold on for their lives in the last quarter.

Geelong winning is the most confident of any team I've been of beating any other team in this whole finals series.

That said, the side I was second most confident in was Sydney so who knows.

I think you'll find the Bulldogs will be umpired through to the prelim irrespective of what happens tonight.

My prediction is that we'll be the only non Victorian team standing at the end of the weekend.

In 2013, the two finals we played were a repeat of the result in the previous games against those teams, ie win v Collingwood and loss v Geelong.

Since then, every final we've played has been a reversal of the result in the previous game against the opponent.

If this pattern persists, then the pathway to the premiership is for us to play Brisbane in the PF and Melbourne in the GF.
