The Bye might be a bit under done coming off a years break.Looking forward to the blockbuster between West Coast and the bye - it could honestly go either way........

But is West Coast a better team than the Crows were in 2020? If you remember that YouTube clip, the bye won that game by a point. The Bye might be a bit under done coming off a years break.
Umpires finding a way to ruin this game as well.
Is this really the best we've got to officiate the sport?

I watched some of the last quarter of the Suns v Roos game. A Gold Coast player received a free kick on the wing, and the North player committed the heinous crime of moving. He was penalised 50 metres, bringing the Suns player well within scoring distance - he duly slotted the goal. Imagine if a similar incident were to occur late in a tight grand final: the losing team would be well within their rights to be extremely annoyed!!!!!I do not think they are helped by a set of over technical rules.

The Eagles are worse, but the Eagles look like they don't give a shit. Adelaide were (and largely still are) shit, but they did at least look like they were trying.i see lots of memes about how bad the eagles are this season. do they look worse than the crows in their wooden spoon season? i haven't seen any eagles yet this year, but i simply cannot picture worse gameplay than the crows in 2020
Add maybe 10% talent to the 2020 Crows, but subtract 50% effort.i see lots of memes about how bad the eagles are this season. do they look worse than the crows in their wooden spoon season? i haven't seen any eagles yet this year, but i simply cannot picture worse gameplay than the crows in 2020
Yeah the efforts levels are low. Kennedy should be sent out on a farm. Some good players that are getting older, some spuds.Add maybe 10% talent to the 2020 Crows, but subtract 50% effort.
A West Coast fan at work said to me on Friday, "Last time we won the spoon, we bounced back and played finals the following year." I love his optimism, but geez it'd be a huge turnaround for the Eagles to play finals in 2023.Yeah the efforts levels are low. Kennedy should be sent out on a farm. Especially when a bunch of oldies retire e.g. Kennedy HurnA West Coast fan at work said to me on Friday, "Last time we won the spoon, we bounced back and played finals the following year." I love his optimism, but geez it'd be a huge turnaround for the Eagles to play finals in 2023.
That was a tactical tank, their list was not the worst by a long shot that year. Injuries and a clear desire to get good picks as soon as it was obvious the flag wasn't a chance drove that. This year, yes they've had injuries and COVID, but their list is also a raging dumpster fire now. They can afford to stay down the bottom for 2 to 3 years to rebuild via draft picks and there's always some WA players wanting to return they'll have money to throw at. They'll do a rebuild faster than most sides in their situation, but it'll still be best case 2026 for a return to finals, they are that up the creek right now.A West Coast fan at work said to me on Friday, "Last time we won the spoon, we bounced back and played finals the following year." Just checked their draw - in round 23, they play Geelong at the Cattery. They got smashed there even when they were a good side: if the Cats are half serious that day, it could be the mother of all hidings. That was a tactical tank, their list was not the worst by a long shot that year. Nah, they aren't winning it, but by round 23 they should have pick 1 sewn up (if they don't somehow get a side where 20 of the first 22 are out with COVID and North keeps losing), so they can at least try. If by some miracle they were in with a chance, there'd be a few 'unfortunate injuries' to ensure a loss.Just checked their draw - in round 23, they play Geelong at the Cattery. Good on him.Not going to fact check this one, but the guy at number two seems to be paying overs.

The tackle count in that game tells the story. 325!
Would it surprise you that of all the mud covered players, the menzels were in the top 5 cleanestTroy Menzel only laid 1? Get out of town!
