Assistant Coach in 2004, did everything he could in 2014 to get us into the GF, gave us Burton for a washed up Wingard, JHF.

Replaced Hinkley.

The answer to the issue of an uncompetitive 19th team is staring them in the face now isn't it? Tassie Devils as team 18, with a few draft concessions and first crack at North players before the Kangaroos are drifted off into the sunset. Davies-Unaike, Sheezel, Wardlaw would make a pretty good starting point for them.

Listen to Chocco and you'll get a different story. Clarko took the off field guts out of Port when he left, not to mention a couple of alright players. That included our innovative IT Dept, fitness coach Andrew Russell, List Manager Chris Pelchen and recruiting manager (and former Hawks development coach) Geoff Morris.

BTW - Clarkson was recommended to Hawthorn by Bucky to fill the coaching vacancy created by Peter Schwab’s sacking.

If only our club had put as much effort into building its own premiership winning capability post 2004 as it did in creating one for Hawthorn.
