Thilthorpe is going to be a gun forward/ruck but his lack of mobility has been a key difference between the sides today.

Difference between him and Hayes is that at 21 he's got plenty of time to build the tank and he's getting a lot og game time to learn his craft.

Draw for Brisbane and a loss for Brisbane is pretty much identical for our purposes.

A draw would be great. We catch up on Brisbane but the Crows don't win. Perfect outcome.

There is absolutely no guarantee he ends up a gun.

I would say he’s more chance of remaining a potato at this stage.

Crows have this insane knack of scoring a couple goals when the opposition gets on top and relaxes that tiny bit.

They're just this nagging team that doesn't go away.
They literally did it twice in this game.

3rd quarter when the game was opened up, at that point Brisbane had worked from behind, out to a comfortable lead. Had shown they were clearly the better team and were doing it comfortably. So they eased off an ounce, Crows bang on 3 quickly and back to a couple points. Again in the last quarter, after seeing off that challenge, the Crows AGAIN took advantage of a clearly superior opponent, easing off slightly, due to the fact they were up 4 goals and again started playing like it was over.

Credit to them, they overcome their deficiencies with insane effort and just never give up attitude, but geez it is frustrating as a non-Crows fans to watch those spuds flattering themselves because teams let them in.

Crows would've been dangerous in finals. Luckily it's going to be really difficult for them to make it from here. You'd say they have one guaranteed win against West Coast but even if they win both they're still relying on other results falling their way.
Can't see them backing this up next year though unless they bring in another good midfielder with Smith, Tex and Sloane on their last legs. The end can come quick as we are seeing with Boak this year. Sloane should already be done to be honest.

The resurrection in form of Ted has been quite stunning really. It wasn't that long ago he was getting the leading goal kicker award for kicking 15 goals in a year and Kane Corner was taking the piss out of him for looking like a skinnyfat loser with his shirt off.
When he retires the wheels will fall off because Thilthorpe and Flogarty aren't ready to lead that forward line.
I hate to say it but I wish Dixon had half his footballing capabilities.
