I’m also not sold on Mackay either if you go by the Norf board.

Wow, that's an awful call, and the umpire was right next to it. They really have been kissed on the proverbial the last two weeks. Someone obviously wants them in the finals. Their last two games though are against fellow contenders St Kilda and Dogs. A conundrum for the VFL...

i think the ump didnt pay it out of sheer embarrassment as he realised what a big **** up he made but wouldnt change his decision. probably thought he deserved the dissent and rightly so

When it happened first thing I thought, he can’t do that it’s out of bounce.
Then I thought maybe the rules have changed and I’m not up with it.
Bottom line is if some old guy who needs glasses to read and is half cut watching on tv can see it why can’t four officials within piss blasting distance see fk all.
They all should be rubbed out next week and sent to Specsavers.

But he should have over-ruled the mark as it was clearly out of bounds and then awarded a free kick against Collingwood for dissent - giving Cameron a kick on goal anyway. With the added bonus of p$ssing off Collingwood supporters and BT even more.

If Esava is cheap, which given he's out of contract and down on form you'd expect he will be, then at worst he'll great depth and handy backup. At best he could be solid defender.

Just another symptom of the Rules Committee or whichever knucklehead is responsible for insisting on turning the sport, interpretations and ‘FoCuS’ on its head every three and a half weeks, mindf#%king the umpires into missing basic offences that have been on the books for a century.
