The difference as far as I see it is in 100 years, 119 will probably be overtaken and completely irrelevant, the Daddy Donuts period will hopefully just be looked back at as our least successful period but one where we can learn from the mistakes we made... and who knows maybe Brad Scott even claims the mantle back.

But no-captains is a forever sh*tstain on a great tradition. There will never be a time where people don't look back and wonder what the * happened in 2019 and how did the custodians of the club allow it to happen.

I often look back on what the hell happened in 2019 but it is mainly about losing that game against North at marvel by a million points after they only scored 1 goal the week before, Ben brown kicked 10, and had we won we would’ve played finals.

The co captains decision although a poor one, isn’t that big of a deal for me, especially now.

I also don’t think it had any impact whatsoever on our performance.

Steven King is being chased by Geelong as part of a Cats football department restructure that could also involve assistant coach of the year James Rahilly crossing back from the Crows. Shaun Grigg and Josh Jenkins have moved on.

The News Corp-backed betting agency Betr is in the process of paying out $40m in bets after Penrith’s grand final win on Sunday, which the company believes is an Australian record.
Betr attracted significant controversy earlier this year over its widely advertised launch campaign offering 100-1 odds on the Melbourne Cup, something that prompted regulatory intervention and a record $210,000 fine.
The company also offered 100-1 odds on this weekend’s NRL and AFL grand final winners, Penrith and Collingwood. Bets were capped at $10, and Betr received tens of thousands of bets on the Panthers, who were favourites to take out their third NRL premiership in a row.

Former Carlton player Tom Williamson stalked and harassed a woman around the time his career came to an abrupt end. The Herald Sun can reveal Williamson’s sudden departure from The Blues’ in mid-2022 came amid a criminal investigation into his off-field behaviour. The 24-year-old, who played 44 games during his AFL career, was charged by police with serious offences, including stalking a woman by calling and messaging her from newly created Instagram and TikTok accounts after she “requested she be left alone and continued to block each account”. One charge states he called his victim 13 times and texted twice over the course of 10 days. His fall from grace played out in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last week where he pleaded guilty to all charges. The court heard the ex-AFL player now works in maintenance at Hopkins Correctional Centre, Ararat’s medium-security prison.

44 games? And I'd literally never heard of him until I read this.

Slowly, slowly people are realising Ken is a fraud.

There is no way anyone with a brain thinks our list gets worse next year.

We're probably still too high.

Not unreasonable to have the four prelim finalists and the team that won it recently and had bad injury problems this year ahead of us.

GC and Hawthorn odds look juicy to me.

History says it'll be a Victorian team and one who has at least somewhat been around the mark the last few years. I'd be putting my money on Collingwood, Carlton, Melbourne or the Bulldogs.

Sounds like he will end up inside the Hopkins correctional centre soon.

Top 5 look right. If it was odds for minor Premier then Port's would be right. Add the Ken Factor and around $20 is more accurate (gives some chance, due to other sides hitting major injury hurdles in September). Adelaide looks a bit high, take out the two Showdown wins (from Ken's repeatedly poor match-ups, selections and coaching in general against them) and their odds would be lower.

We should be $251

Adelaide will finish above us next season. As will the Suns and the WBs.

That's the one. That's the game that would've been the point of no return for a chairman and a board who have even a skerrick of integrity.

Chris Burgess wants to move to the Crows.
