Whilst highly unlikely, it would be hilarious if he get 3 weeks, they all celebrate, and then Adelaide go out in straight sets.
I want this.

No way port would have dragged it out this long. We’d be crucified by the SA media for being disrespectful.
That's because Koch is subservient to AFL and wants to get on the commission, the crows are the old SANFL, Kick a Vic mob.

When you can threaten to k someone and get virtually no penalty. How is this reasonable. Let's put aside personal bias or hatred for the Crows and see it for what it is
You ever played sport? Happens on every sporting field.. normally ya respond without a homophobic or racist reply or you just laugh at them

Yep, how many story's have there been about Lockett threated to kill someone, or other players were told at the highest level or lower down levels, by an older and bigger players that if you touch the ball/ touch me again, I will kill you.

I have heard ex Socceroo goalie Mark Schwarzer tell the story that he was threatened with death if he saved a penalty. He just laughed it off and saved it. I can't remember if it was a club game or an international game.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with the Crows appealing. Good on for them being united, even if they're in the wrong.
I'd rather us do the same instead of trying to be everyone's second favourite team and still getting shafted anyway.
Nice guys finish last, or in our case, 13th.

If they were appealing on any realistic basis, but all this is, is spitting the dummy and throwing the toys from the cot after it.

Obnoxious, entitled behaviour. If Port did it, I would be similarly dismissive.

I guess they've looked around the league and seen other stars get off lightly on the eve of finals and thought it was also worth a try.
Is it obnoxious and entitled? Absolutely, but not necessarily unrealistic.
If it doesn't work, then they don't lose anything for trying.

Whateley on AFL 360 basically said the crows 3 arguments to contest the ban are the Talk Back Radio reasons to appeal, not those of a responsible football club.

1) finals game worth more, but no precedence of that in any previous suspensions, 2) Rankine being provoked is a a big stretch and 3) the Snoop Dogg argument. He also raised them fighting tooth and nail their defence of the camp.

Nobody thinks their argument of finals games being worth more and so Rankine's suspension should be reduced has any merit and that is the basis of their appeal.

Dragging Rioli, Finlayson and Snoop Dogg into it just reeks of desperation and misdirection.

If Port Adelaide did any of that in the face of the homophobic comment I would be appalled. The club absolutely did the right thing after Finlayson immediately self-reported (which Rankine did not).

They lose maybe not self-respect because clearly they think this is an acceptable response, but they have diminished their standing in and outside the AFL bubble.

Out of form Finlayson missed out on a few minor round games which meant nothing in the end.
Top 5 player Rankine is staring at the prospect of missing a prelim and potentially a GF. In that situation, you do what you can to challenge the ruling.

I'm not arguing that their chances aren't poor or that their argument is a good one.
