At least the Port game is on free to air this week in Perth.I see that there's no Thursday game this week and two games on Friday. Channel 7 in Adelaide is showing the Ess vs SK game instead of Freo vs Bris - maybe they reckon SA viewers are more interested in watching Nas than a game with a big bearing on finals positions.

I was just going by the footy app that shows Essendon game Friday night, port game Saturday and Crows Saturday night. Maybe it’s a fk up with the app.On 7plus? Only WAFL and AFLW on 7 and 7Maaaaate on Saturday.
Dillon gave us Katy Perry last year - his first year in charge.
I assume the AFL does whatever Mushroom/ Frontier / Matt Gudinski says, and who they can get for the GF.
Well that's what happened when Michael Gudinski was still running things. He did convince the AFL to put a young Ed Sheeran on before he was a star, back in 2014 and also had Tom Jones join him as a double act, as Frontier were promoting Jones' 2014 tour of Oz. Then they go to Mike Brady for Up their Cazaly. After Meatloaf in 2011, they went with Aussie acts in 2012 and 2013.
Laura Kane - saying a lot - and saying nothing. This is why she failed, not because she was set up to fail.
National Reserves comp is years away. The AFL has allocated its TV revenues for 2025-31 period and is now weary about getting an increase at all in the TV/media deal post 2031.
Brisbane 7-1-2
I did say they drew with North.1 draw, 2 losses or 1 loss, 2 draws?
I did say they drew with North.![]()
This graphic was on First Crack tonight.
They also said Brisbane have only lost 3 of their last 20 games on the road, so their game against Freo is huge for both clubs.
Brisbane have been a bit slack against the bottom 9. They don't switch on anywhere as much as they should playing them, which makes sense for a premiership side and a side pushing for top 4 for 7 seasons in a row.
They drew with North at Docklands and lost to Sydney and Melbourne at the Gabba. Only beat Essendon and West Coast by 3 goals - at the Gabba. Beat Richmond and Port by only 28 pts and against us they played premiership footy for 20 minutes from middle of 1st quarter - slammed on 8 goals to 2 pts.
Friday night's game in Perth will tell us a lot about what both sides will do in September. I think Brisbane win and it will confirm in my mind they are the flag favourites.
Collingwood have a great record against the crows and at AO - 10-0 in both cases and will have a 9 day break this round as opposed to only a 5 day break against the Hawks last Thursday night. Those 30 year olds wont be run off their feet us much. Not sure they will make it 11-0 x 2.
Both games will have a big bearing on what happens in September.
So who are the biggest flat track bullies against the bottom 9 teams??
Adelaide 11-0
Bulldogs 11-0
Hawthorn 10-1
Collingw'd 9-0
Gold Coast 9-1
Geelong 9-2
GWS..... 9-2
Brisbane 7-1-2
Fremantle 9-4

It's not a draw, it's a fixture. There's a fix and then there's a fix.A top of the table team to having won all their games against the bottom 9 is probably not unreasonable.
What this actually shows is how rubbish the draw is. The Crows will have 12 games (Norths to come) against the bottom 9, Geelong will end up with 13 (Sydney and Richmond to come).
Some of that is because of teams rising and falling. But given Adelaide finished 15 and Geelong finished 3rd in 2024…
Fix the draw, fix the home ground issues and AFL would be much better.
I was waiting for this. Thought it would be some cow like Caro, but Helen Lovejoy Wheatley is just perfect.Where does Snoopy Doggo's lyrical content fit with the image the AFL is trying to project - Gee Whateley
