Yeah Sgt Bargearse you can’t comment on an open forum unless those ports people tell you too.

Anyones welcome to comment, but commenting on a port subject forum means you care. Dont say you dont. Pretty simple. Thanks for the support! Est 1870
Yeah, I appreciate that many port power people are keen to embrace that date as their own, so what happens to the port Adelaide magpies? Does it mean that they were formed in 1998?View attachment 828627
Think you might see founding date on Ports official logo. 12 May 1870
So now you are not missing anything.
Don't get caught up with flogs saying otherwise. Flogs have got to be Flogs, as that's all they do.
They flog away without knowing what they are flogging about, as they don't want to know the truth, so they just keep flogging. LOL

That’s a nice story that, but weren’t you a modflog in here sometime or another? How embarrassing for you.Yeah, I appreciate that many port power people are keen to embrace that date as their own, so what happens to the port Adelaide magpies? Does it mean that they were formed in 1998?
I think that seems a bit unfair for them considering they have the same name and play in the same comp as the club that was formed in 1870.
I’m very proud of it. It’s my history and nobody else’s.That’s a nice story that, but weren’t you a modflog in here sometime or another? How embarrassing for you.
Cheers for the thoughtsI think you have care and disdain completely mixed up, I suppose that’s fair when you haven’t finished sixth grade even after the third go.
Ports, where tarps are king and crowds sing a manufactured feel good.
you understand that if there wasnt a collingwood magpies already in the afl that port wouldve fielded their afl side as the port magpies right? you seems a bit slow on the uptake... fair enough though, id be misrable too if i supported a franchise expansion club too. ouch! lolI’m very proud of it. It’s my history and nobody else’s.
Can your club say the same for their alleged history (eg the port magpies one they’re trying to latch onto)?
And would they have stopped playing in the SANFL in this fantasy scenario of yours?Cheers for the thoughts

Got a 2015 McClelland trophy
How can the original be the reserves?
hahaha. just like every PROPER afl club with a history. How can the original be the reserves?
Can you give me an example where that has happened?hahaha. just like every PROPER afl club with a history.
they played in their local league for 100+ years, then entered the national comp, making their 'original' team their reserves in a loacla league.
look at big VIC clubs as examples... muppet. wouldnt expect you to understand, u support a soul-less expansion franchise.
go put a purple feather boa around ur neck and dock with one of your mates...
Geez you are thick if you cant understand what boomhead end up saying ... "go put a purple feather boa around ur neck and dock with one of your mates..."Can you give me an example where that has happened?

And you want an example ... what a bloody laugh.
It's the Fremantle way ... They don't understand, so ask the same question, over and over again. Look at your posts. They are getting monotonous.
Monotonous meaning just for you ... dull, tedious, and repetitious; lacking in variety and interest.
You want to know about Port Adelaide then read this on the Port Adelaide Football Club Website,Are you his secretary?

That's like using the bible to prove that God exists. You want to know about Port Adelaide then read this on the Port Adelaide Football Club Website,
I think they know what they are talking about ..
No football club in South Australia has existed for longer. No sporting club in Australia has savoured more success and created more pride among its players and fans who have celebrated well beyond the north-western corner of Adelaide.
The Port Adelaide Football Club is the most successful league football club in Australia. It has won a record four Champions of Australia titles, a record 36 SANFL Premierships and an AFL Premiership.

PS, Our footy programs are now reunited and all facilities, footy dept and admin are now unified.Docker...
Clubs like Hawthorn and Collingwood were VFL teams.
When the AFL was born, these teams fielded an AFL side (their firsts) and played a reserves team in the local comp now labelled the VFL.
Pretty straight forward.
This is the case with port - as we are the ONLY CLUB outside of Victoria to apply for and gain an AFL licence.
However, executing our transition into the national comp as straight forwardly as Hawthorn/Collingwood couldnt be the case, as the SANFL did not want our 'reserve' team playing in the SANFL to have access to an AFL grade football program as it thought id would be an unfair advantage.
This meant we were forced to split our footy depts into a SANFL and AFL program.
In addition, there was already a 'Magpies' team playing in the AFL -Collingwood, meaning we were forced to create a new moniker for our first team.
If Collingwood were not the Magpies, the PAFC first team playing in the AFL would be the Port Magpies.
Now kiddies, that's today's history lesson for dummies... off you go to dock with your mates in the playground.
