Cain Ackland

Come on in leaps and bounds this year. After the injuries to Lade and French, we needed another ruckmen, and Ackland put his hand up and has been impressive. Hasnt had much game time, but at 19, looks very promising for the future. Showed a bit up forward as well against WC.
Rating 6.0/10

Scott Basset
Played very well against the Crows this year and didnt get much of a run against St Kilda. Has had good form in the SANFL for Norwood, and has been an emergency a number of times.
Rating 3.2

Matthew Bishop
Has yet to play this season. Has had indifferent form in the SANFL for South.
Rating n/a

Shane Bond
Yet to play a game this season. Did a hamstring in his return league game for the magpies.
Rating n/a

Dean Brogan
Looked impressive in his one game this year, and could be a player for the future. Has been Souths best player this year, and could well push for a recall soon.
Rating 2.5

Steve Brosnan
Hasnt even made the League Magpies side yet this year, and wont be on the rookie list next year. Very dissapointing.
Rating n/a

Peter Burgoyne
After a controversial off season, he has performed better than any other year. Before this weekend, had the third highest possesions for us, and also 17 goals. Is a bit inconsistent, but played his best AFL game against West Coast this yaer.
Rating 8.5

Shaun Burgoyne
Will be first in line if a defender gets injured. Has been in great form for the Magpies, and has been an emergency once or twice for the Power.
Rating n/a

Josh Carr
Has been our most improved player this year. Fantastic form. Was just a tagger last year with shonky foot skills, but has turned into a tough attacking midfielder who has also kicked 8 goals this year. Our toughest player this year.
Rating 8.7

Domenic Cassisi
Was rewarded for strong SANFL for Wests with being added to the Power squad on the weekend. Should break into the Power side soon. Looks to be a strong player for the future
Rating n/a

Che Cockatoo Collins
Has finally shown the form all Port supporters knew he was capable of. Has been remarkable this year. Our strongest forward to date. Hopefully can hold the form thruout the last half of the year. At 24.6 for the year has been our best shot at goal as well.
Rating 9.5

Chad Cornes
Cant understand how he has stayed in the side so long. For our second tallest forward, has only kicked 6 goals for the year, adding 12 behinds as well. Has only played one good game this year (against the bulldogs) and has seem to of gone backwards in development. Needs to be dropped to get a kick and regain some sort of form. Doesnt do enough hard work, and tends to sook a bit
Rating 2.5

Kane Cornes
Finally rewarded for strong SANFL form with glenelg. Showed glimpses of future brilliance in teh Ansett Cup, and has excellent foot skills. Probable replacement for Wilson...here is his big chance to cement his spot in the side
Rating 2.5

Stuart Dew
Has been too inconsistent so far this year. Has been awesome in a few games, and been missing in others. If his form was more consistent, youd mark him in at the wing for AA team at the moment. Scored in 9 games this year...but doesnt get high possesion counts. Still, he is a vital part of our team...when he plays well Port plays well.
Rating 7.0

Fabian Francis
Mixed form for Flash this year. Inconsistent as well. Has spent some time on the bench this year. Has been a goalkicker, and has definatly been one of our better players. I have expected a bit more from him tho.
Rating 7.0

Josh Francou
Been our leading possesion gatherer but tends to make a lot of clangers with his kicks. Cannot fault his determination and guts tho. A valuable player this year, but really needs to concentrate on his kicking more.
Rating 9.0

Barnaby French
Sadly has been missing the whole season due to breaking his leg twice. Cant wait to have him back, as he will add a lot of depth to the side up forward and in the ruck.
Rating n/a

Brent Guerra
Has played nearly every game, but has had little actual game time. Is one of our toughest players who doesnt take a backward step. Id like him to get more game time, and he may get an oppurtunity thru Wilsons injury to get a spot in the 18. Doesnt let the side down when he gets on the ground tho.
Rating 4.5

Chris Hall
Awesome SANFL form, but cant see him getting off the rookie list. Possible draftee at the end of season tho.
Rating n/a

Mark Harwood
Dissapointing so far this year. Mixed SANFL form, and hasnt broken into the power side yet. Strong Magpie form could see him move up tho.
Rating n/a

Ben Hollands
Has also had awesome SANFL form with Wests. Would like to see him get picked up by us at the end of the season.
Rating n/a

Roger James
Lifted his game another level last year, but hasnt carried that form into this year. Looking at his stats tho, he has our 5th highest possesions this year. Has still been very consistent but tends to go a bit unnoticed. Has been handy kicking 13 goals this year. Can always rely on Roger to hit the target.
Rating 7.7

Adam Kingsley
After winning the Tuck medal in the AC final, hasnt really bought that form into the regular season. Gets a lot of touches, but makes a lot of errors. Always looks unsure of what to do once he gets the ball and tends to put himself under pressure by holding onto the ball too long. Is the most frustrating player in the list i think
Rating 6.0

Paul Koulouriotis
Almost been unsighted at SANFL level this year, and may find himself dropped or traded at the end of the year.
Rating n/a

Brendon Lade :(
What to say aobut this man!!! How unlucky can you get!! Cannot wait to have him back as i rate him a better ruckmen than Primus. I hope his spirits are high and is looking forward to dominating the league next year.
Rating n/a

Bowen Lockwood
Was dropped after Round 2 and hasnt shown much form for Centrals. Has been getting form back in recent weeks and hopefully will get into the side soon.
Rating 1.5

Brayden Lyle
hmmm. Got into the side thru high possesion counts with Port but none were actually effective. Is a pain in the arse and is holding back the chances of Guerra, Basset, K Cornes and Poulton thru taking up bench space. Get him out, and put someone younger in who will actually be a player for a few years.
Rating 2.0

Darren Mead
Typical Mead season really. Consistent and dominant without being flashy. Rarely been beaten yet this year and is a great on field leader. Has grown an inch knowing Wakelin is there to back him up.
Rating 8.5

Brett Montgomery
Form has been really indifferent. Id like to see him more up forward than in defence. Spent a lot of time on the bench early on in the year, but has our 4th highest possesion count! Suffering second year blues here...and i cant see him being at port next year.
Rating 6.0

Adam Morgan
Too injury prone, which has halted his development. Looked promising at the end of last year, but has played only a few games at North this year. Will be dropped at the end of the year.
Rating n/a

Allan Murray
I can see him getting a game by the end of the year. Has been good for South, and has good pair of hands and a strong kick.
Rating n/a

Derek Murray
Has also been strong for South, but i cant see him getting in front of a few other players for a callup to Port. May be traded at the end of the year.
Rating n/a

Stephen Paxman
May be the last year for Packo. Has lost pace and a bit of footy brain this year. Was thumped by Tarrant against Collingwood. But has been fairly consistent.
Rating 5.5

Jared Poulton
For some reason cant get a game. Was strong in his 2 games this year, and has been great at the magpies as well. Will get a callup from Wilsons injury i would hope
Rating 2.0

Matthew Primus
What is there to say about the big man!!! Is there anything more he can possibly do for our side!!! I dont think there is. Has taken the captaincy role to heart and has played AWESOME footy this year. The leading ruckmen in the league, and the most inspirational footballer.
Rating 10

Jarrad Schofield
Been consistent once getting on the field. Played his two best games for the club this year (against st kilda and geelong)...is much maligned by Port fans but is a great contributor to our side.
Rating 7.8

Nathan Steinberner
I dont even know why he is still on the list!! Never really looks like breaking thru to the league side, and when he does he hardly gets a kick.
Rating 0.1

Michael Stevens
Has been ok for Centrals, but like Derek Murray, i cant see him getting a game in the near future.
Rating n/a

Nick Stevens
Thankfully stayed on over the summer, and hasnt let us down. Our best midfielder this year. Hardly ever makes a mistake and has been a goalkicker this year too (10 goals). Will fight Primus for the BnF and is a possible chance for the brownlow as well.
Rating 9.5

Toby Thurstans
This guy is impressive! He has been great for Sturt this year, and hasnt got a game due to no tall players being injured. Will stay on the list i think and hopefully will get a game by the end of the year. Future replacement for Paxman/Mead/Wakelin.
Rating n/a

Warren Tredrea
After the knee injury in pre season, he has been our best performing tall forward. Worked on his kicking i think as he has kicked 19.11 this year. Has been great this year at getting the ball across centre and half forward. Seems to of taken his game to another level as well.
Rating 9.0

Darryl Wakelin
What a fantastic pickup. Has had the confidence to take marks at ease across half back all year. The turning point against Collingwood was him getting injured. Our best defender all year.
Rating 9.0

Gavin Wanganeen
Has revelled in having no pressure this year. Is our leading goalkicker and one of our best players all year. Is enojying his forward role, and one of the main reasons of our strong form this year.
Rating 9.5

Michael Wilson
Unfortunatly his season is probably over. Showed the best form of his career early on this season and has been as solid as ever. Hopefully will bounce back next season. Will be sorely missed!
Rating 8.0
