port adelaide power are the BIGGEST joke running around in the AFL. Look at them - a bunch of Alberton pansies in black, white teal and silver(well I can't see any silver, but its in their PATHETIC club song.) They might as well give up RIGHT NOW and get rid of that dickhead of a coach forever and not even have a coach, just run around pissfarting the opposition off and seeing if they can win a game. There are THE JOKE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA and I feel totally EMBARRASED to live in the same state as them.

Port Adelaide is the most successfull club and the greatest club in history. So what if we arent winning right now. You wait and see we will be the major force in AFL within 5 years.

If your such a proud Sth Aussie then you should be supporting us not putting us down. Mark Williams comes from the greatest football family in the country he will be a great coach, just give him time.

Port Adelaide should have been in the AFL years ago and got all the great concessions the Crows got but you Norwood and Glenelg school ties sabotaged us. If it wasnt for us you wouldnt even be there.

Port are similar to Geelong, find a consistant forward to help out Tredrea and they will be alright.

I see many similarities with Port now as to the Eagles in 1989. The year after they made the finals they had a downer and then made the finals the next 10 years, winning two flags. It's not all doom and gloom there.

Jealous of Port Adelaide Magpies the SANFL team, I think not. Yeah great team in the SANFL but why would I be jealous of that? And secondly the team in the AFL competition, get that? AFL, AFL, AFL, is called Port Power, and they are shit as simple as that. And Mark Williams might come from the greatest football family in SA but not the whole of Australia, certainly not. You seem jealous of Adealide for being the first SA team in the comp.

As for the wonderfully impressive SANFL, Westar, Sunraisia, (new) VFL, Little League stats -I refer you to the Regional League Board. Means not a lot here folks.

Reason? Every single team that has won a SANFL GF would have been pulverised by at least the 10 best teams going around in the AFL/(old VFL)- so, please limit your "greatest football families" crappola to a realistic context...

To wharfie, you are just a god damn LOSER!! Port power has absolutely NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with the port adelaide magpies, so keep your SANFL stuff out of it. Your stupid so called "port" supporters can't even work out which game they are at, most of the port supporters at the SANFL game last weekend were waring power jumpers etc. WRONG GAME idiots!!! If I was a proud South Australian and supported port power, i would be laughed at by other teams supporters, just like port supporters are now. If port think they are soooo damn goood, why didn't they just put their ENTIRE SANFL team into the AFL and seen how they would have gone!! They would not have lasted 5 minutes out there!!! Just what I expected from a mob of jealous losers.

"Oh the SANFL is second rate" & "Port Adelaide & Port Power are different clubs". SANFL is known to be the 2nd best comp in the land. The AFL wanted Port Adelaide in the comp so badly they went against their agreement with the SANFL in 1990 and negotiated their entrance well before the Crows were thought of. It was only because Norwood and their mates threatened to leave the SANFL that the AFL let the Crows in and not Port.

As for "any SANFL premiers not being good enough to beat the AFL/old VFL premiers of the day".Get your facts right. The two premier clubs used to play each other each year and the SANFL club won 4 of the 8 matches so until AFL came into being and the game went national, the best SANFL club was as good as the best VFL club. Bloody typical Victorian attitude even though you say you are from London. yeah sure.

And I did say the Williams family is one of the greatest the game has seen and it is. Of course their are other great families, that doesnt make me wrong you idiot.

As for the two Port teams not being the same club. There are two teams with two jumpers and two mascots and two songs and two coaches (both Williams) and two CEO's but they have the one history, the one tradition, the one loyal following. They endure the same hatred and jeolousy from the same ignorant losing opposition supporters whether they be Norwood, Central Districts, Essendon, Collingwood ect.

I noticed that waifer boy commented that port will be a power in the next five years. I find it hard to understand how you can justify this. I have said it before, anyone can say they will be good this year, next year or five years time, but it means nothing.

I remember not all that long ago powermad raving how good port will be this season he even posted (several times) an article from Mike Sheehan saying they will be in the top four this year.

Talk means nothing. Port supporters can talk all they like but why are you 1-8. Yeah I know, don't tell me - next year you'll be good. Don't bother, I heard it all this year.

The old WAFL was a stronger comp than the SANFL ever was. Thats why when the comp went national they were brought in first as we new they would add some strength to the competion. Any East Freo flag side would have slaughtered any Port premier side.

Give up your delusions if you ever want to make it in the big time. Jealous? Geez I dont even watch Power games on TV they are so boring. Even Freo is more exciting than them.

I love Port supporters too for the same reasons.

Grendel, dont give them amunition though. If there is one thing Port supporters do know it is their own history and that automatically means they know SANFL history.

Before West Coast Eagles were thought of the then VFL approached the SANFL to enter a team in their competition. They were willing to change the name of the competition to AFL to appease Max Basheer & co. The SANFL declined, thinking that such a move would weaken the SANFL and also thinking the VFL was on a path to doom.

At the time the SA State of Origin team was regularly defeating the Vic team. This was with roughly 1/2 a dozen local players in the team each year.

The SA pre-season competition, The Escort Cup, also had the top 4 teams from WA in it for about 5 years. None of those teams ever won a game in that comp with only East Fremantle coming close when they lost to Central Districts by about 3 goals.

Any Port supporter worth their salt knows this and anyone trying to tell them otherwise only shows their own lack of knowledge. Nothing pleases a Port supporter more than opposition supporters demonstrating their stupidity. I guarantee Warfie will rub his/her hands together and be very pleased with themselves when they see your inaccuracies.

They aren't that much of a joke, they were really good tonight and only poor kicking stopped them winning, Thanks Port!

They were without Wanganeen and Primus, so one would have to say that Geelong were pretty ordinary. But it was at Football Park, the conditions looked shocking (I don't know, I wasn't there, but on TV they looked terrible) so perhaps a draw was a fitting result, I'm not complaining we've got 14 points out of 16 from interstate trips this year, and we don't have to go interstate again till round 20, i'm happy.

If we had kicked straight the game would have been all over in the 1st 1/4. Don't forget that our Wayne Carey, Warren Tredrea went off fairly early with an ankle so the Power effort was really pretty good.
