You really are a fool aren't you, chokester!

You're trying to tell us there were no Champions of Australia series between the 1890's and the outbreak of the first world war? :p

It's not surprising that you, who normally crawls about in the gutter, can't be bothered doing some basic research before you venture out to display your ignorance to the world.
I love it when you get angry Toots. :thumbsu: As for degenarating the VFL, that's exactly what you are doing when you compare SANFL premierships to VFL premierships.

Anything would look better compared to the jumper your club put on every weekend
At least we've both seen it win more than one Grand Final while we've been on this Earth.

Surely you've got to back up your bluster and tradition with onfield success at some stage, surely...

The fact that many among your species consider a Qualifying Final victory 5 years ago to be your finest hour since the 1990 Premiership speaks volumes as to where Collingwood is at and will remain for some time.

Port Adelaide, the original Magpies
Actually, Collingwood are the original Magpies. Port Adelaide are an older club but their original colours were magenta and navy blue, but in 1902 they switched to black and white and they became the Magpies.

This was well after Collingwood were already the black and white Magpies, and why people have mistakenly thought for so long that Collingwood followed Port is beyond me. It was definitely the other way around.

What's to say Collingwood didn't follow Nottingham County (whose black and white stripes Juventus took)?

This idea that Collingwood has a god-given monopoly on colours and stripes is absurd.

What people should remember is there is a team who wears the black and white and they are in the SANFL.

As far as the AFL is concerned, port power were created in 1997, hence they have no right to the black and white colours. Pretty simple.

Agreed, Collingwood were in the AFL first (say whatever you want about the Port Power vs Port Magpies deal) and were the pies first with black and white stripes.

However, IMO Port should be able to wear the black and white during heritage round as long as there is no clash with Collingwood and it aint that hard to make sure these two don't play each other at this time. Whatever you think about when Port first existed etc etc there is a connection between Port Power and the Port Magpies.

Port didn't pay the License Fee. The SAnFL paid it as the SAnFL hold the License Port plays in the AFL under. All Port are in a Franchise of the SAnFL playing is the AFL under license. Just like the Crows and the Eagles and Freo in WA.

You Port supporters are sooooo gullible.... then again you are from South Australia.
Um, we just finished paying off our licence last year
It's really not hard people. We were asked to join the AFL. Hence the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club were created to play in the SANFL. We were the PAFC in 1870, and are the PAFC now, right? ;)
Where in my post did I say anything about your claim to birth in 1870?
NO-WHERE!

Port are just a Franchise of the SAnFL, if Port or the Cows got into Trouble and went belly up the license Port or the Cows play under reverts back to the SAnFL. The SAnFL can then hand it to Glenelg or Norwood or whoever.

You DO-NOT own the License.

exactly the SANFL appoints half of port powers board members. Its like a franchise arm of the port magpies under SANFL control.
