Sadly, I'm not surprised by this result, and the way it came about.

Looking firmly towards 2016 now (I already kinda was, hey)

Hope I'm not intruding. Fantastic game, wanted to raise 2 points, 1 positive and 1 negative.

On the positive, Travis Boak is an immense footballer and just about the most underrated footballer in South Australia. Love the way he goes about it and for mine when he's on song he carries his entire side forward. Just a beast.

On the negative, wtf was with the power defenders at the end of the first quarter allowing Douglas' entry into the 50 at quarter time to go through for a behind? Maybe I'm being harsh as I'm watching on TV from interstate, but from what I saw the ball bounced a good 30 metres out from goal. The fact it's been able to register a score isn't good enough and can prove decisive, particularly in a close contest.

Anyway, thanks for the spectacle. Everything Walshy deserved and more, even if you didn't get the biscuits.

Good point imo, i watched that to, it is sign of a team switched off. Something major has turned this club south. What it is still has not come to light but this club is not the unit it was for the last two seasons and i lay that blame fairly and squarely at the feet of the coaching panel with Ken H in the hot seat.

Chris Connelly is usually someone I ignore but today on radio he got Port's weakness's correct.
Centre clearance set up = wrong
Defensive set up when ball is deep - we let crows build a wall = wrong
Forward entries haphazard
And we only lost be 3 points!
We were simply out coached which is gawling

hey but its only a game .......... to some

We saw it, dont worry, it's that attitude we hate.

Westhoff had one touch to the 3rd quarter IIRC. Just bad attitude for professional footballers.

They have just one thing to do all week

What? Who's having a dig at Walsh? Piss off dickhead. Typical of you lot to fabricate another reason to hate us.

Umps have a ******* hard on for Walsh apparently

That's who i was quoting finbarr

Not fabricating anything

I'll head out now. Sorry for the intrusion lads and ladies

I said it way earlier in the thread, forward entries killed us, coughed it up plenty and missed plenty of goals, they kicked really well. We didn't deserve to be within three points at the end, so credit to the team. The fact is personally i think we have altered our game plan which is a good thing, we are looking to play more possession football coming out of defence, then run.... but we will managed to cough it up plenty to a waiting Adelaide defender. We need to sharpen up on skills over the summer, make no mistake the season is well and truly over. I hope it burns in their guts. We need to remove passengers and become ruthless at selection table. I can see the light, Ryder is a big part of our next premiership, those of you who think if we won today we'd be on our way to finals are kidding yourself, we don't deserve it and would of served up some shitty game to St Klida and lost (that's just been 2015).

In 2016 we need to eradicate the turnovers, we actually go our out of our way to lose games, sometimes it's just dead set pathetic. Shultz is done, start playing the kids, there is nothing to lose anymore, sorry fellas, a few more rounds to go yet, so suck it up and look in the mirror, nobody to blame but yourselves.

Glad I wasn't the only one that noticed. I was absolutely filthy about that.

That was appalling and just goes to show how mentally weak we are as a side. Would not happen in division 340 amateurs.

Yep it was beyond belief that professional footballers could allow that to happen, blind freddie's grandma's canary would know it's not dead ball until it stops rolling!

I had got up to go and get a beer, the bloke who appeared to be nearest the ball was Jacko, and he just walked away from it. o_O

Oh well, we should get a reasonable draw next year...

On a positive... the jumper looks great with the black shorts. Seeing the number 17 running around gave me flashbacks of Martin Leslie circa '88

Definitely not a dig at Walsh. Nor the Crows, nor the Adelaide supporters. Umps wanted a result and made it happen.

Reckon that would've been the better way of wording your feelings (whether i think its right or isn't is not what's important)

I don't think there is a conspiracy in anything to do with footy, but everyone is entitled to an opinion
