Ok, we have hit rock bottom. Season is as good as over. Time to swing a huge axe, both on-field and cutting driftwood from the club.

Top of the list to go: Primus, Cochrane, Francou. Probably so of our older players as well. Looking like time to start the long climb up again.

agreed. Time to blood some of the youngsters.

Read your post, it said especially in a losing game.

If I could type slowly for you, I would! It means, when has Francou stood up when it really counted and not simply been a front runner? When during a losing game has he been good, and not a passenger? NEVER!

So whos going to be accountable? anyone?
Choco will tell us that 'heads will roll', but only the young guys will be dropped. He's too scared of his own standing to give too many young guys a go for our future.

We hit rock bottom against Richmond ... we're now burrowing into bedrock.

I haven't read the previous 11 pages, but just noticing Pred's comments, I agree to an extent.

If the season is shot and away games are more than likely going to end in defeat, what is the point of persisting with those with very little to no upside, when you can play those on the cusp of senior selection - the main one I can think of is Chaplin, who was brilliant against the Roos only to find himself in the SANFL.

even old Jack Cahill's not afraid to axe 6 players after an ordinary performance, including some big names. Doubt Choco will have the same guts. And he'll bring back James, Mahoney and S Burgoyne (has to stand Milne).

Jesus!! This year! I'm not living in the past, but I'm looking at what's passed him by. AFL!

I bet next to Josh Carr and Roger James, coming back through the SANFL because he wasent needed we wouldnt even be talking about axing Francou.

But Carr has left, James cant get on the park, ******** happens.

Excuse my ignorance (I only have a masters degree, not a doctorate, in education), but I can't work out what the significance and relevance of your post is.

Well good for you.

Look, I'm going to watch a movie, so I'll have to check in tomorrow on this. Please feel free (in the mean time) to explain how any of your posts make any ********ing sense

Sorry Santos Little Helper I didn't realise you were a 300 game player that is justified in your slanging by actions you performed on the field.

Frustrating yes, but unless you have been in the heat of battle as these players have I suggest you reserve your opinions to yourself if they aren't constructive.

Far out, let's be positive and look to the future.

An opinion is an opinion. You disagree, that's fine...I don't care. We are allowed to criticise any time we want.
I can back up my opinion with reasoned thought, what about you? I'm betting you're simply a sycophant (look it up).

From the bold.....yes I agree! We need to drop Francou, Primus, Kingsley et al to provide a future for our club.

I know what sycophant means SLH, don't insult me with your condescening manner.

Opinions are a fantastic thing as everyone has one, but you seem overally negative towards everyone on the Port list that isn't in form or has bad game. I am wondering why? A poor childhood experience on the sporting field perhaps?

Then again what do I know as I don't have a Masters in Education.

I could tell you of my football exploits, but why bother? Your opinion of my abilities matters not.

As for being negative...that's a misdirection by you. If you'd ever read my posts, you'd understand that I'm loyal to the death for my football club and those players who play with heart, but can't stand the attitude that the 'norm' is fine when it lets us down.
As for your last comment......now who's trying to be condescending?

Based on your previous comments it could be inferred that intelligence has a positive correlation with football knowledge ;)

Disappointing most definitely, as I am ropeable right now and swinging changes DEMAND to be made. I agree that this is not Port Adelaide and it is definitely not acceptable.

This team set-up is not working, it is time for the youth and to look to the future. This is the positive that I take out of the negative and why I wake up tomorrow and every other day strong in the belief that we can and will rebuild to become stronger and once more sit upon the top of the hill.

True, but will those changes be made? I'm betting that we'll be left scratching our heads again.

Half time comes.

Im expecting a 100 point loss now. We made our run, got to within a point and then just completely stopped doing anything. West Coast had about the last 15 Inside 50s, 5 goals in time on. Was just error after error for us. Handballs to the opposition by themselves, kicks goign nowhere, not manning up, Primus' "ruckwork".

Positives: Wanganeen, P Burgoyne, Wakelin, Cassisi has done well on Judd. Thats about it.

Could you please send me your tips for this weeks games by friday. I know things were not looking good at half time but thats a bloody good prediction. that crystal ball is working a treat!!
