Carr isn't the soft loser Ken is and i have no doubt the attitude will change overnight with Carr setting the standards not Hinkley.

Another week of men vs boys.

Margin was no surprise, given the disarray in defence surprised it wasn't more. They just queued up at times, it's like we have no gameplan for disrupting a team's entry into their forward 50.

And while Butters was shut down, it's sad that no one has a crack at his tagger. He gets no help at all.

The lack of team ethos or leadership in that side is frightening. Zak Butters must seriously be thinking about moving on.

Didn't watch a second of it. Any of the younger guys look ok? Purely looking at the stat sheet no-one looks to have stood out, but thats not always a true reflection

Will Lorenz looked the best out of the youngsters. Berry was solid, Whitlock had a tough debut though most of Port's players were shit, so I'm giving him an out.

Not surprisingly not ready. Ball barely went forward but when it did, he was outbodied easily. Tough day to debut. Might as well let him play three more just to learn how tough it is so he can apply himself properly in the preseason.

Probably Sinn and Holmes too.

Similar types of players. Careers have gone in opposite directions.

I always end up using Brisbane as an example because even there small players have muscle and are built for physical sport.
Ours look more like being built to play Chess.

I just cannot believe the amount of mistakes DBJ and Mead make each week. Basic handballs, uncontested marks, they somehow stuff all of it up. and yet they are undroppable.

Serious question, has Mead joined the syndicate?

As for Dyl Will - I have seen a lot of people say that he has never been found out in defence. Thats because we played the corpse of Tom Jonas on small forwards like Rankine in 2023. Dyl Will is not quick or mobile enough to play on an opponent as we saw today. and no, he cant play forward either.

Teams have shown you can bounce back up quickly, but whilst we have Koch and Richardson there, it just doesn’t really matter

is a kid, game # 1, context, no expectations etc.

performance wise though, being objective his was ineffective

needs 10 kilos.

chest mark attempt on the lead was amateur, lacked courage at that ball.
