Listen to our coach….” It was expected with 9 of our best 15 players out”
Listen to Koch “it’s all going to plan”
Don’t bother listening to Davies or Richardson…. They seem to have vanished.

Basically they don’t seem to care, we cant do a thing about it and the media won’t call anyone out.

Hope Carr changes things but I’m sure he won’t be afforded the same level of protection that Hinkley seems to get.
are Koch or Richardson alive? I haven’t heard from those two flogs in a while.

Although we have no coaches left other than Carr and Goldsack it’s probably time to just tell Ken and Chad to piss off because having two blokes in the coaches box that literally don’t give a single **** is not helping.

No it isn't. The last two years we finished 3rd and 2nd, you don't do that with a really really bad list. This year has been atrocious but its clear as day they players have checked out mentally from before a game was played.

Not only is the coach a natural born loser, he's clearly lost the players.

Carr isn't the soft loser Ken is and i have no doubt the attitude will change overnight with Carr setting the standards not Hinkley.
I agree 100 percent. We have a decent list and I have no doubt there is going to be a positive bounce next year. I can tell you that Carr will not tolerate any bullshit. The guy is ruthlessly and he is a smart individual. Unlike Ken who is a yocal loser.

Was driving while the game was on and listening to the AFL nation call.

My favourite moments were:
  • The Bell Park address got a favourable mention.
  • Ed Curnow's voice sounding like the love child of Mark Rucciuto and Alistair Lynch.
  • If Port fans would be happy if they only watched Q1 and Q4

Even though he could of kicked 3 maybe even 4, for a negating forward defensive tag McEntee to end up with 0 tackles is atrocious like how is that possible

Today i finally saw what everyone is talking about with Boak. Absolutely no acceleration, cannot get out of a tackle. Commentators said at one point he had 11 touches at 100% efficiency because, if your handball hits your team mate its still called an efficient disposal even though theres three blokes surrounding that said team mate. A club like Freo should retire veteran club great Fyfe this year. We however will willingly let Boak internally destroy the on the field just to get him to 400 games in 2026

Any half serious coach would move DBJ on. Send him to north or the saints.

Games past Drew and Wines. Need more youthful powerful speedy mids like holmes

If the entire Koch/Hinkley tenure has shown us something beyond doubt, it’s the way the AFL House (& environs) acknowledges us. Your post is an evidence of that.

Another example is when Koch says we are “a little suburban club from South Australia”. He’s just being his bosses’ mouthpiece. They judge us based on that. For them, we are nothing more than “an interstate North” (or St. Kilda).

I do not care what they think. If they want to remain idiots, that’s on them. I do care what WE THINK. We have been ruled by idiots. Worse, as Lockhart Road and others have pointed out, the next-in-line is even more idiotic.

The club is dying from inside.

Not a lot of players as quick as Holmes wasn't surprised to hear his mother won Commonwealth gold in 200 metres, I think it was. Sinn is very quick but wasted playing back pocket.

Mead and Boak were in the top performing players, according to the secret formula Jordan Hinkley uses to pick the team.

They aint going anywhere.

Boak and Mead? What a joke. Mead gets caught holding the ball all day or turns it over when he doesn't. Boak handballs to players under pressure constantly or kicks to an outnumber, both always resulting in goals to Geelong. Yay. They tried hard though. Lol.

The succession plan isnt just a wasted season, it will do lasting damage.

It might be needed for healing. However, I’m not confident we would be able to take the opportunity.

They have looked underprepared and underwhelming since the first showdown in the preseason. No intensity, no hunger, the whole season has been the same shit since we announced the dumbass succession plan. Heads have to roll
The writing was on the wall very early this season. As you say, we looked unprepared and uncompetitive in that first trial, then got a misleading boost by Finlayson’s uncontested stroll in defence the week after against the Saints. Collingwood then made sure there were no more illusions by destroying us in round 1.

JHF and Rozee were powerless effectively without Butters in rounds 3 and 4, which buried our season completely. Those two matches set the tone more than others.

In other years where we’ve sucked there have been a few more positives to hold onto. The promise of early draft picks. Rays of hope from exciting young players. Better SANFL form to suggest an underbelly of young talent.

This year, any moments of positivity have been fleeting.

Georgiades, and before they got injured, Ratugolea and Visentini, were the main highlights for me.

Bergman for about six weeks. Cochrane for about a month at the start. Lai, here and there.

Major disappointments:
1. Evans
2. Lukosius - everything to do with him
3. Lord
4. Berry - although maybe some flicker of potential starting to show
5. SPP - injury
6. JHF - frustrating year. We saw less of his very best unfortunately. When he starred he was exceptional but he’s four years in and there are now several others from his draft year who are dominating every week as their team’s best player.
7. Sinn - good that he’s got games behind him. He’s defended well at times, but it’s hard to see a future A-grader in there.
8. Burgoyne and Jones - some good, but a lot not.
9. Drew - has the game completely gone past him? Is there any value there if he can’t completely shut down the good opponents?

I'm late to comment on this. Watched while on the indoor bike trainer. I can't work out if that distracted me enough to not be angry at the lack of effort during the game or I'm as checked out as out time-server.

My one takeaway is that for someone who apparently learnt things at Geelong, Ken certainly didn't learn the importance of getting systems right. Once again, Geelong showed how, if you set things up so that everyone knows where they need to be at any particular time, you give them the best chance of playing to their potential. That is particularly important for the bottom half of the team.

Instead, we have chaos, setting players up for failure.

That does not excuse the, once-again, deplorable lack of effort.

Looking on the bright(iish) side, we're one week closer to the end of this plonker's reign.

From memory, when kok was appointed by the afl one of the first things he did was to describe Port as `that little old blue collar club from Alberton' which did raise a few eyebrows amongst supporters at the time, but apart from that one change the rest of your post is absolutely on the money GP. :thumbsu:
