Review Positives and Negatives vs Collingwood

Exceptional game of footy. Really big wasted opportunity. Feel flat, but don’t throw the season out. That’s a great side playing a Grand Final rematch.

Positives:
+ Jarrod Cameron
+ Elliot Yeo
+ Nic Nat is alright
+ Another finals like atmosphere for the boys to deal with. Should be valuable.

Negatives:
- Doesn’t need saying. Dreadful fourth when that’s been our strength lately. Didn’t get enough out of the people that usually lift. Just a real shame.
- Would love an iso cam on Tom Barrass to see just how many times he was wrapped up off the footy. Mason Cox suddenly the world’s fastest man burning his opponent?

Flat. Really flat. Bad opportunity missed, but we’re still right in it. Season’s on, and it’s going to be a fun ride. They’ve shown time and time again they can hang when the going gets tough, that was probably the worst display of clutch time execution we’ve seen for some time.

No need to catastrophise - we’re a good side and still every chance, just a real blown opportunity. We’ll have others.

There's no positives.
None

Lose to Collingwood at home means we have s**t the bed in a big way.

There is no recovering from this.

Season....over.

That’ll free up my weekends, decent result in the end.

I think the biggest negative is the lost to opportunity to put a huge claim on a top two spot. A win there and we are not home and hoses for top 2, but we are damn close.

Now we are in a massive fight for it.

Felt we were too lazy early, let some easy first quarter goals through. Left Collingwood in the game far too long by playing like millionaires and it not quite coming off. Collingwood just put in more effort, stayed in touch and ground over us.

Good to learn from a game like this. Not devastated and Collingwood kinda owe us one. But this is their one, that's it.

No run but down a runner all game. Kids up forwads let their half backs off the chain. Bit of bad luck and dumb stuff - the hickey handball and the barrass block not paid for example, a few unlucky bounces and slips -but we didnt work hard enough to create
Skills dropped off but that is pressure when you are not creating
Missed a tagger. Backs disorganised early and we missed Duggens run

There's still a month and a half of the season left. A lot to play out. Would rather a wake up call now and see what we're made of instead of coasting to second spot and get caught napping too late.
