Review Positives and Negatives vs Fremantle - Rd 4, 2019

+ Rotham was a standout.
+ Petch electric in the first.
+ Hurn was a rock down back.
+ Never have to watch that affront to footballing decency again.

- Kennedy, Darling and Allen were all poor. As was Gov. Dropped marks galore.
- Appalling foot skills and fumbling. Gaff absolutely butchered the ball.
- Sheed and Masto both very quiet. Not sure there's room for both in the team.
- Atrocious umpiring in every respect.
- I will never get those three hours back.

Another win in the bank without injury - that's pretty much all that matters at this time of year.

This match reminds me a lot of the Round 5 match against Carlton last year - Jetta was missing then as well.

Matches like this when it is greasy and congested are when the team misses Jetta and Rioli immensely.

The umpiring was absolutely appalling in general - both teams ended up on the receiving end of some very odd decisions.

The Fremantle defence were able to get away with a hell of a lot tonight that will get paid in every other game this week.

positives. were a decent first quarter and a win.
negatives.too many players were off and the skills were pretty poor.a better team would have beaten us.

6 touches to half time for someone who is running along the wings is trash.

Kicks inside 50 were junk.

There were a few instances where if he played on we would have run over the top for a goal and instead he turned around in slow motion and missed the target.

I think I could even hear the crowd booing him.

Nah man, nah. He missed Kennedy high very badly in the third at a crucial time. Not defending that, that’s s**t, but that was the one. Hit **** on the lead all day otherwise.

Numerology at its best

WCE got 4 premiership points tonight. WCE have 4 premierships.

Free got no premiership points tonight. Free have no premierships.

Nothing else of note.

There were 4 quarters in the GF, as well as today.

Dom Sheed wears 4 and won the GF.

Sean Darcy wears 4 for Freo and had 44 hit outs for Peel (4 letters in the club name) today.

Masto had a weird game. In his defence, I’m pretty sure he was running with Hill on and off who was kept quiet. On the negative side though, in the first half he had some awful turnovers. Did play better in the second half and I noticed the commentators say he played “a very professional game.” Oh, and that pass to Allen down the wing was superb. Overall, IMO he is safe for now, but would not want to put in many more sub-par performances.

Beatlesmith, spot on with every item. 👍

The scarf. Now this. You're the one on bloody thin ice, not Masten.
I’ve officially folded the scarf and back on the eagles bandwagon.

Quite a few Eagles fans at Sail and Anchor tonight so that comment is not fair.

+hurn was great
+ rotham looks the goods
+ four points
+ no injuries

- shittest game I've seen in years
- all our talls were terrible
- we play like this against a good team, we get flogged

we play like this against a good team, we get flogged
Its the classic thing though

We wouldn’t. We’d lift to the level required
