Slightly off topic but what the **** is with wrestling fines?

So boak tried to have a go at Duggo and he stood up for himself and they went to ground. Why is this or any wrestling fine worthy? They take themselves out of the play by being on the ground it's their own problem.

Agree but the AFL have to protect the image for their younger and future audience. My son always asks "why are they doing that" when that sort of thing happens. He got his first footy on Thursday night (aren't those soft touch sherrins a joy?) He already wants to "do the tackling"
I just want to know what they do with the money.

Negatives:
- Dumb football. We had them on toast with 12 mins to go. JK kicks his 7th, 32 points in front and taken the crowd out of the game. NOt saying you can ice the game with that much time. Rinse, Repeat. Rinse Repeat. There is just no method to it whatsover. How about we set up a player or two in the flanks/pockets and we bomb it to that contest. At least give us a chance to get it over the line and set it up from there. Just dumb football. This, with one player down. Players tired as f*** and it continued even when they got a run on with us trying to hold on to a dwindling lead. Ugghh! Come on Simmo! Sort that shit out.

Was thinking this while watching the last few minutes. We didn't seem to want to kill the ball at any stage. Sometimes I think it is worth the risk of a deliberate call or holding the ball call if it allows people to get back. We just kept the ball alive and kept spilling it / kicking it back into the corridor. Our kicks up the line were about 15 - 20m in from the boundary toward centre allowing more spilled play it was infuriating. Get it close to the line and get players to spoil it over the boundary and reset.

Negatives: Gaffy copping a whack

Positives: The response from the boys ripping Jonarse a new one was bloody awesome. Yeo came in with a bit of a bump then Cripps comes in with a sling to the ground...then all in beating on his arse. Was good stuff that hasn't always happened (see Hunters embarrasing sliding onto his bum act when Staker got his bell rung by Hall)

Positive side too incidents like this melee on the road is the bonding and one in all in attitude that can boost the team now after it's been a slowish start to find solid form .
