  • Eazy-E towelling up Franklin
  • um, it's over I guess?
  • I probably won't remember this game after a few days
  • lawns got a good watering
-
  • lost AGAIN to 'muh bloods kulchaaa'. Sick of this shit
  • Midfield had their faces rubbed in the mud. Same old, really.
  • Shit day
  • Shit crowd
  • tree branch ended up in the pool this morning.

+
Lycett was lively right from the get go, and was the best ruckman on the ground.
Emacs duel with Spuddy was epic, great contest.
Thought Xaviers performance was really good.
Better draft pick coming our way.
Mastens first quarter
Sheppard slowly improving.

-
Gov having zero impact, which wasn't all that surprising.
Our midfield doing what it does best... sucking, and lacking any sort of hardness or hunger for the contest.
Thought Gaff's game was even more ordinary then usual
Kennedy. Seriously mate. It's like he's spent before the ball even goes near him, always stumbling around and falling over or getting pushed out of the contest. Can't remember the last time he took a contested mark.
Mastens other 3 quarters
Wellingham, best trade ever.

Stopped watching our games a month back, this team has no heart. Take a good look at the list because in 2 years time we won't recognize it, massive cuts coming I would be thinking.

Doubt it.

I'd be over the moon if that happens, but it won't. Our club doesn't have the stones to pull anything like that.

I dont want to be too critical Of Simmo ,as hes a first year coach finding his way , but Im starting to have my doubts .
Seems slow to react or hard enough on the players, Our list genrealy have all gone backwards.
One things for sure, we lack composure , smarts , strength , hunger & skills but apart from this where going OK

Every ****ing time we enter the forward fifty its bung it on the boot and belt it fifty up and fourty forward

Right i to the goal square - no lowering the eyes - no comprehension that a player can actually mark and then goal from 45 out

Which they did several times - player 60 out goes to kick - pulls it and hits a player 40 out who lines up and goals

We just keep crowding that goalsquare

Al is sad.

Kennedy is just .........

Cox is gorne

Our midfield is softer than the italian soccer team

------------

Positives:

Ellis

We held them for 3 quarters

Hurn

E-****ing-mac

Shep

Positives
Thought Masten and Shuey were better particularly early in the game.
MacKenzie was superb.
Fringe players showed some grit.
Attacked the ball all day with varying effect.
Cox and Lycett rucked well together.

Negatives
Good effort without the required punch.
Let the ball rebound from our forward to easily on occasions.
Didn't hit the scoreboard enough again.
Tackling was left wanting

+
Played alright against top 4
Emac, Hurn and Lycett had an awesome game
Cox wasn't too bad, did his job for the most part
Darling played a better game
Strong effort throughout the game

-
Skills were bad (yes it was raining)
Decisions making is still terrible. Why is kicking long to a contest always the first option?
Rosa's injury :(
JK's bump
Midfield was meh, which made all our forwards meh.

+ives

E-Mac's job on Buddy was terrific.
Thought Sheppard and Ellis were really lively in defense too.
Darling was active, tackling hard.

-ives

We lost to Sydney, again.

Ellis obviously has no composure. He handed Swans 3 or 4 goals today. Was woeful.
That double fist to the swan player was dreadful. He blind bombed it out on numerous occasions.

Positives

With 30 minutes to go we are still in there game
eMac
I kept calm while watching....

Negatives
Jude Bolton special comments ....what an absolute Dh this bloke is and should not be doing and game involving Sydney.....I want to watch football not soft pr0n

It was a pretty off day from him I thought. I don't think he's used to the disorganisation and constant bombardment of our defence.

He looked and played quite a bit like A Selwood!

+

Emac owned Franklin.
Ellis good in defense (apart from that two fisted brain fade..)
Cox did alright, Lycett showed a bit.
McGinnity's attack on the ball was great.
Darling was thereabouts.

-

Skills and decision making..
Midfield got whacked.
Unable to keep up with Rohan, Jack and Jetta. Cringed every time they found a bit of space.
Just didn't look very dangerous once it got to our forward line.

Positive: The posters on here that believed we were a chance of the 8 or that we should strive to make the 8 can now STFU.

Negatives: That the coach / MC didn't realise 2 months ago and start blooding more players.

"BEST
West Coast:
Priddis, Mackenzie"

Now I'm not a Priddis-basher by any means but, what the actual ****. Not having Mackenzie as best player is an ABSOLUTE joke. Embarrassing.
The template used each week automatically has Priddis at the start, don't take it to heart.

From what I saw of the game, Lycett was the big plus. Showed great heart and really wanted it today.

Positives
  • Mackenzie's job on Buddy.
  • Although he isn't a great player, McGinnity's intensity is a level above most of our other players. If the rest of the team played with the same passion as McGinnity....
  • Ellis
Negatives
  • Rosa's injury, Kennedy's suspension (Well I've already penciled it in)
  • Imminent consequences of Mackenzie's shutdown job on Buddy. In games where a superstar forward is well beaten, the media will find ways to scrutinise the defender's tactics (e.g. Caff on Cotch) and this will result in umpires changing their interpretations. Prepare yourselves for more free kicks to be paid against Mackenzie in the future.
  • Kennedy, Lecras. We are always talked up as having one of the best fwd lines in the league .... but I'm resigned to the fact that they are now average... perhaps not even top 8 standard. It seems like they're living off their potential these days rather than actually trying to be successful forwards. Please put up some pressure and take more marks.

People are getting too worked up about us losing to the best team in the league. We aren't that good. They are the better team (by a lot).

We were in the game in the last quarter against the best in the business. That's a positive.

We were actually in the game in the last quarter in the last two games against the two teams most likely to playoff in the grand final.

That's good.

Not like after the debacle against Carlton or something.
