Prediction Positives for the Rest of the 2015 Season

Doing a ladder predictor, it's going to be a crazy end to the season.

Assuming we lose to Syd, Hawks, Freo, Coll and Adelaide at AO.
Assuming North wins all games but loses to Freo
Collingwood only lose to Hawks, Syd and Freo
Adelaide only losing to Sydney and us at Subi

West Coast finish 7th.

If we beat Collingwood and all else remains the same, we finish 4th!

Obviously it's going to be very different to that, but interesting how little their is likely to be between a lot of teams.
To be honest I'm ready for anything. I think most this year are optimistic with our chances. Don't really think we are serious contenders yet without EMAC but happy that we are going this well, finals in any position would be great.
more experience for the boys the better they will be.
I'm just enjoying the ride without going over the top.

Positives for me would be seeing us knock some top 8 sides over and make it to the finals.
I'm hoping to see more of Lamb, Nelson, Duggan & maybe even Barrass.
Dylan Main is the missing piece of the puzzle for our midfield. You heard it here first.
2 out of 3 aint bad... C'mon Main!!!!

Now that our season is effectively over what is it that you hope West Coast get out of the 2015 season?
Is it to blood more young midfielders like Duggan and Waterman in the Seniors? Tick
Is it for somebody like Barrass to play 12+ games and occasionally have a good game where a super forward doesn't take him to the cleaners?
Is it for Naitanui to continue to dominate for the rest of the year and get another AA? Tick
Is it for Newman to be upgraded and break into the 22 squad? Tick
Or is it something else. Right about now I think we could all do to concentrate on future positives rather than dwell on our current predicament.

The thread that just keeps giving.

This thread is embarrasing :drunk:
I don't think so. I think this thread is a testament to how far Simmo has taken the club in a matter of 2 years. Who could have even fathomed how far he'd take us when eMac and Brown went down? At the time, panic seemed the natural reaction. Kudos to everyone at the club.

you were the one to bump it?

If only people would stop bumping it.
As the OP I do not want to dwell in the past.
I was only joking and a line borrowed from the priddis thread , its a great thread really and we were all searching for positives at the start of the season historically this will be an amazing season whatever happens from here

I never mentioned any positives after brown went down with knee and we lost to Western Bulldogs in Round 1 . I didnt mention it in this thread but I remember telling a Carlton Mate of mine that I expect Us to be spoons . I was pumping up mcgovern before I joined bigfooty when Gov was a rookie so He is my biggest positive . I also rated sinclair before this year and I guess he was pretty good and I am still happy with the Jetta trade . I enjoyed everyones comments early in this thread , most comments negative early on mirrored my thoughts and then this thread got better as the year went on and was revisited .

I hope not a lot changes - by that I mean I hope that whatever plans Simpson and the coaching staff had in place for the season in terms of player development, positional changes, tactical changes etc. remain basically the same with some obvious tweaks needed down back.

I think there can be harm in playing a bunch of underdone kids who aren't ready, I don't think you play the kids just for the sake of it, but maybe give them a few more games than you normally would if the season really falls away.

You still have to aim for the goals set at the start of the year (finals) and use that as motivation for the playing group and as the key focus for the year.
Any over reactions by the coaching staff to one loss and our injuries would be seen as poor coaching, you've really just got to train, plan and build as usual.

So really, the positives I want to see for the year remain largely the same as any year, development of young players, seeing the implementation of the gameplan by the players and hopefully having confidence that it is a game style that will see us premiership bound in the not too distant future. Also hoping to see a plan B for when the opposition gets a run on and being able to restrict the opposition as much as possible.

Wanting to see our mids step up from B grade to A (Shuey, Gaff, Selwood, Naitanui etc.).

I nailed it.
