ok im going to say it

Negative - Rioli burning Lecras to get his 1st goal. Was selfish. Did something similar later on when he turned his back on goal for a set shot when we had a man free inside 50 about 25m out. Happy for him to open his account but dont burn people like that for your own glory.
My initial view was he burnt lecras big time, not lachie Neale levels but a decent burn nonetheless. Watching it again I think he took the right option

His opponent was rushing at him meaning a low pass wasn't an option as he needed to give the kick height to avoid it being smothered and no way was a handball going to work as his body position was all wrong to get off a 15+m handpass

Lecras' opponent was trailing him by several metres but was sprinting to catch-up meaning if lecras had to stop or prop to receive he'd be rundown.

Honestly think by kicking to an open goal square Rioli took the better/less risky option as snapshots on goal line that are what he's in the side for

Agree with this, but Simmo said he'll never do it again. There might have been a quick chat after the game. But I love what Rioli brings. Most teams don't have a Rioli but we do. And he's the youngest one in the AFL for the moment.

No he is not, Daniel is younger. And a premiership player

Watching Sheed's work in traffic is becoming a pleasure. Quietly taking his game to the next level.
There was a passage early where GC was fighting back, Sheed was on the defensive 50m arc or thereabouts and you could see him trying to stop the rot.

He went hard for a tackle, got back to his feet and went hard for another. It was good to see because he normally moves a lot faster with the ball in hand, misses a lot of tackle opportunities by plodding along at his cruising pace, seemingly afraid to be sidestepped or have his tackle broken.

To see him use his full pace in hunting two tackles was very promising, I have no doubt he can stick them he just needs that mindset of loving to catch someone rather than corraliing.

Chose to bump, guy knocked out of the game.

One week is a good result
Bullshit, the play on to advantage was on, player had the ball.

Bump was fair, concussion is irrelevant if he doesnt get him high.

Ball was in play and it was a perfect bump.

Actually agreed with this on replay, if it had taken a high bounce Lecras would have been the first to the ball anyway, it was sort of like hedging his bets.

Also apologies to Lecras for thinking his left foot pass to Cripps was a shot on goal gone wrong, on the replay in slow motion it looked like a pass, watching live I thought he was having a ping.

+LeCras reborn - Looks faster, stronger, running harder then he has the last 5 years. Thank god he played on
+Masten, Gaff hard running
+McGoverns first good game for the season

-Kicking out of defense - Still too many turnovers. Its hurting us every week. I think 4 goals were gifted by direct turnovers from short kicks near our defense
-Jack Redden - Just too slow and not smart enough of a footballer to get in the right spots to make up for it. Drop to the WAFL for Hutchings. If he cant get back in before the bye, his career is over I would say

Positives:
+ Yeo played an excellent game today - 33 disposals (14 contested), 11 mark and 5 tackles, exerting a massive influence on the contest and has the flexibility to play multiple roles effectively.
+ Masten's best game for the club in a long time.
+ Gaff having an AA year, could even be considered our best mid.
+ Darling has been fantastic, in career best form.
+ JK's back. Going to top the clubs all-time goalkicking list and win his third Coleman after last years injustice.
+ Gov is back to his best.
+ Sheed just keeps getting better and better, had a great game.
+ Shuey played great, was his usual self.
+ Hurn will be an AA this year - Dark Sharks time to admit you're wrong.
+ Cripps played a great game.
+ Willie was quiet at first but finished the game strongly, building good form.
+ Venables was playing brilliantly before the doing his ankle, hopefully it isn't serious.
+ LeGod was, yet again, the BOG and most spectacular player. At this rate the Brownlow will be renamed after him out of respect.
+ Duggan played a good game.
+ Slyce/Nic combination continues to be the best in the comp.
+ Shep played another great game - could be an AA if he keeps it up.
+ Our defence, attack and midfield all worked together fantastically.
+ Overall, a great performance.

Negatives:
- Redden needs to do more, just isn't doing enough to keep his spot in the team.
- Could have blown the margin out a bit more.

Wasn't Reddens best game, but he did lay 5 of teams 48 tackles and some of his work in close was pretty good.

Only saw the replay at the game but it looked fine, I mean mighty fine. Old fashioned shirtfront, don't think he got his head just knocked all the air out of him.
Correct - the player hit his head on the turf and that was what concussed him. Lecca has naught to worry about.

Completely agree he shouldnt be even fined. What has me worried is that this Michael Christian guy seems to put a greater focus on the result of the action rather than the action itself.

Really liking the vibe within the team at the minute. It seems like they all like playing footy together. Granted, winning will do that for you, but even just listening to the song it was evident that this group is in a good place at the minute.

Lots of positives. We played a good 4 quarter game I thought. Not many negatives.

+ Darling has been immense this year and I really enjoyed his game tonight. Got some reward for his effort but as usual got others in the game. 10 score involvements, 9 marks (should have been 10 if JK didn’t steal one), 19 touches. Perfect foil to JK which gives him some time to get back to full fitness.
+ Speaking of JK, was good he got through the game unscathed. Kicks a lazy 5 and starts his Coleman chase with the appropriate handicap. Also was great we didn’t seem as JK focused. Perhaps the extra space that we have at OS will help with that?
+ Masten. Boy he has surprised me this year. I thought he was gone. I really did. But he just works his backside off to provide outlet options for us. Best game for him since 2015.
+ Yeo, excellent game and bounced back from last week.
+ Gov seemed to be back to his usual self tonight. I reckon teams spend a LOT of time on him in their planning & how to counter his influence. Tonight is exactly the reason why. He’s an A grader.
+ Aaron Gaff just kept on keeping on, although I thought his disposal was a little off I am liking some of his inside work this year. He’s tough, Gaff.
+ Willie hit the scoreboard- I didn’t like that he didn’t pass off to Lecca, but I love the fact he knew exactly how to kick that goal. He’s a natural goal kicker. Will only get better as his fitness improves and he gets his confidence up.
(will update the goals thread I’ve got going as it is starting to take shape now. Would have done it last week but I lost my Mum to cancer this week so that’s taken priority)
+ as well as enjoying playing with each other, I got the feeling we really enjoyed the bigger crowd.
+ Sheeds last couple of weeks have been really good.

Redden seemed like he had a quiet night, but then he pops up in moments and does something good. I still feel like we use him out of position, but given we’ve thrown Cripps, Rioli, DV & Lecca at the bounces at times I’m wondering whether we’re going to mix it up in the middle & Redden will see less CBA’s.

- DV’s injury. I hope it’s just a couple of weeks at most. He was on track for his best game tonight I thought. That point he kicked would have been electric- it wasn’t all that far away.

Sorry to hear about your mum - cancer is such a life-sucking bitch. Your input on the game is a credit to you.

Goal Spread - 18 goals between JK, Darling, Cripps, Lecras, Rioli, Waterman and Vennables love that. Our new forward line is awesome wish we had Flyin Ryan. This is our real weapon and now that we get supply we are looking real dangerous

Transition - Love the use of the corridor love the quick ball movement
Defense - Shep, Barras and Gov dominated

Is it me or every one seems more refreshed an energetic
It's what playing the youth and exposing the rest of the list does for you.

Yeo, Duggan and Sheed getting midfield minutes now. Ryan, Waterman, Venables and Rioli all changing the dynamic of our forward line.

Embley and Nicoski looked a million bucks in 2011 when Shuey, Darling and Gaff started getting games each week.

I think you can make comparisons between rubbish games. Suns pushed back in a way that the Bulldogs didn't and I think we found for more intent this week. Really pleased we kicked on a bit in the fourth.
Sure, I'm hoping for another nice win next week as ill be at the game haha then it would be nice to see us get over the line in a more competitive tight game

Agreed this time we have more youth coming through its a good way to rebalance the team and keep us going. Last year we got beaten by the gold coast by 3 points and i knew we were in for a torrid season

Shred i becoming a ****ing beast. Busting tackles, standing up in tackles and releasing handballs. He's becoming the midfield bull we need. His kicking is also a positive
