There were plenty of positives out of all the negatives... the coaches and fitness staff know the players were fat and unfit when they came back... that wont happen again.
Cole was super consistent even when under the pump.
Harry got games in and looked solid inspite of being towel.ed up a few times.
Luke Edwards had that one good game to show he might be good in the future.
Westy brought the hunger and showed some passion.
Yeo will be a massive bonus next season
Generally the fitness and desire returning will go a fair way to the team improving.
Offseason/Draft Need a couple of elite young mids a KPD and a KPF.... no flanks.
Yes, even the CEO mentioned recently how they entered 2021 with players underdone from the preseason and that won't be happening this time around - he put the onus squarely on the players to keep in shape prior to training commencing..

Anybody heard anything re Schofield? There has to be more about that re Hinkley, he obviously didn’t get along and if anybody hears anything I’m keen to get more insight. A few whispers floating around but clearly issues with head coach.

+ No major off field dramas , barring Willy . I think injuries took its toll so if we get that better next year we have to be improving .
+ Our coach didn't leave his missus .
Is it a coincidence Buckley and Harwick Off field philandering affected their teams ?
+ We de listed a lot of dead wood . Players . Whoever we get surely can't be worse.
+ we have 2 new assistant coaches that improve us .
+ Willy might play a game if he doesn't get caught and our long term injury list is gone so we have potentially more fit players to choose from .
- Darling and vaccination ?

That last point is an interesting one. If JD refuses vaccination, would the club put him on the trade table, or just cut him. Total vaccination is mandated now for Victorian clubs. Will it be likewise elsewhere? If a player is not vaccinated, he won't be able to travel or play, so what's the point of having him on our list.
It's already happened in the US, with sports stars' contracts being torn up for refusing the jab. Could be interesting in trade week.

Why would anyone trade anything for him if he can’t play?

Here’s an idea - let’s wait to find out if he has actually refused the vaccine and has no intention of getting it before castigating the bloke

Right now he’s on his usual leave and isn’t required yet to be vaccinated. Maybe wait until he can’t return for preseason training because he hasn’t been vaxxed
