yeah, coz they ran out of cocaine yesterday and their dealer's gone to america!
Why are you still using that as crutch get over it. If i was Docker supporter i wouldn't be cutting my throat just yet. From an unbiased view i enjoyed watching a top game of footy from two sides hell bent on scoring. First one side then the other. Everybody in the league is screaming about the umps. Don't take it out on them , have ago at the rules comittee. I am worried about you guys next week.

Correct.......last week's result did surprise me, today's....not so much.

Essendon are always dangerous to interstate teams at the Dome, hell even in their horror year last year they ran the Eagles to the last 5 minutes. Your record against them is poor at the ground (and in general) and their 15th last year was a team losing their best player, captain, and then confidence (as well as the 'incentive' of turning the season into a high draft pick or two once it was obvious the year was gone).

Port.....one bad quarter. Unfortunately it is the kind of quarter that can dent the psyche, and all jokes aside, especially the Fremantle Football Club's.

As I said half in jest in a Bay 13 thread, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys came out and beat the Eagles next week. We played one good half against Sydney and then hung on grimly, and just got over Collingwood minus Buckley, Didak and Holland at home.

Reality is I don't think your 0 - 2 has been much worse footy than our 2 - 0, given both those wins have come with performances from Kerr and Judd that even they couldn't be relied upon to produce week in / week out.

Agree. Whie the weags should always be respected (in terms of what they do on the field...;) ), I really don't think they are playing fantastic footy at the moment either. They could just as easily be 0-2 or 1-1 with the way things have gone in their two games.

They'll be the deserved favourites, but I'm not ready to concede the derby just yet.

On top in the centre, both in hitouts and clearances.

Essendon's run off the half back line was suprisingly excellent as was their efficiency moving the ball forward. Thats why they won.

The difference is when the games in the balance they find an extra gear and usually win, we usually lose.

Maybe in the overall count.

But not when the game was in the balance.

Win those, and you generally win a tight game.:)

They were very good.

And that is the main area where we miss Farmer.

His chase downs and tackles inspire the rest to follow suit.

Peter Bell's goal from the boundary in the final quarter was another positive. How often does he kick big goals when games are on the line, if the rest of the squad had the determination of Belly we certainly wouldn't be 0-2.

Another positive is that I thought Jimmy Walker was a heap better this week. Judging from the lack of abuse , others must have thought the same.

I was impressed also with Grovers work on Lloyd, He did far better than anyone thought He would IMO.

james was ok, but coughed up some ball...

We need him at least until Blackie comes back.

From what i saw they were suprisingly impressive, even when Essendon had the ascendancy.

From what I saw, we had an outstanding and dominant ruckman, who was not backed up by his midfield when we really needed it.

And who, when they did win it, were at times indecisive, slow and poor in skill execution.

Overall, they were OK. But we are really missing the ability some bigger, stronger bodies(apart from Pav) through the mids.....Read MJ, Solly, Cooky etc).

I am not bagging them...it was just the way it was. IMO.

Buyll**** . You are bagging them and they probably need it.

Yeah Jimmy was okay and deserves to play in the derby.

I didn't think Groves could go with Lloyd, but was pleasantly surprised. Do we play Groves on Quench this week to allow McPharlin to go out to CHB and run off young Brown or an under done Hansen?

I genuinely thought your backmen played pretty well today - #14 (Haddrill?) and Parker

Lucas is on red-hot form, he'll worry every coach we come up against this year, and he was almost kick-less till half time
(and I wouldn't rely on Lloyd kicking right foot goals too often)

Sandilands is just a monster isn't he? He looks like an U18 kid playing in an U14s match

A couple of times discipline let you down, and we ruffled a few feathers in that push and shove near the break. As for Solly's report - welcome to Dean Solomon's career, post 2001! He can't breath without giving away a free kick

Didn't see all the game but from what I did see you would be pleased with the way Tarrant and Pav combined today - both looked threatening and will be the cause of a few headaches for us next week.

One question re Pav though. To me it looked as if he was just a little bit off his game today - dropped a couple of marks he would normally swallow, missed goals uncharacteristically and even with that brilliant kick over his head that resulted in a goal he fumbled whilst gathering Taz's handball cleanly. Was still good enough to recover though.

He still had a good game but was just 1 or 2% of being an absolute super game that could have changed the result.

1. Grover is number 14, not Haddrill.

2. Parker played very poor.
OK then Grover played well, and I reckon Parker did OK too (when he wasn't mismatched on Laycock, anyway)
the point is, I was at the game, I've seen Lloyd & Lucas tear new rims for almost every defensive pairing in the game, and I thought your blokes stood up
If you take that as an insult, then you're just a bit too angry about a round 2 away match, I'd suggest

he thought haddrill was grover...i've figured out this guy doesnt know much.

Victorians without fox would only see Fremantle play 5-6 times a year, and Grover very rarely stands out.

Opinion of essendon supporters>>>opinion of eagles supporters.

About Freo? Precious little, I'm afraid
I had a look at the 'Dockerland' match preview, and it turns out they know less about Essendon than I know about #14

no, you just take them too seriously. they belittle their opponents each week (good on em i reckon, i get a laugh). shane richmonds previews and reviews are gold.

everyone has to stop crying about dockerland.

Yeah I figured it out about half way through
Interesting Freo guys complaining about Solly giving away stupid soft free kicks
Nothing new there I'm afraid

And I'd also have put Bell in your best, he set you up with a few nice spot-ups
