Why are you still using that as crutch get over it. If i was Docker supporter i wouldn't be cutting my throat just yet. From an unbiased view i enjoyed watching a top game of footy from two sides hell bent on scoring. First one side then the other. Everybody in the league is screaming about the umps. Don't take it out on them , have ago at the rules comittee. I am worried about you guys next week.yeah, coz they ran out of cocaine yesterday and their dealer's gone to america!
Correct.......last week's result did surprise me, today's....not so much.
Essendon are always dangerous to interstate teams at the Dome, hell even in their horror year last year they ran the Eagles to the last 5 minutes. Your record against them is poor at the ground (and in general) and their 15th last year was a team losing their best player, captain, and then confidence (as well as the 'incentive' of turning the season into a high draft pick or two once it was obvious the year was gone).
Port.....one bad quarter. Unfortunately it is the kind of quarter that can dent the psyche, and all jokes aside, especially the Fremantle Football Club's.
As I said half in jest in a Bay 13 thread, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys came out and beat the Eagles next week. We played one good half against Sydney and then hung on grimly, and just got over Collingwood minus Buckley, Didak and Holland at home.
Reality is I don't think your 0 - 2 has been much worse footy than our 2 - 0, given both those wins have come with performances from Kerr and Judd that even they couldn't be relied upon to produce week in / week out.
), I really don't think they are playing fantastic footy at the moment either. They could just as easily be 0-2 or 1-1 with the way things have gone in their two games.Log in to remove this Banner Ad
Agree. Whie the weags should always be respected (in terms of what they do on the field...), I really don't think they are playing fantastic footy at the moment either. They could just as easily be 0-2 or 1-1 with the way things have gone in their two games.
They'll be the deserved favourites, but I'm not ready to concede the derby just yet.
On top in the centre, both in hitouts and clearances.
Essendon's run off the half back line was suprisingly excellent as was their efficiency moving the ball forward. Thats why they won.
Maybe in the overall count.
But not when the game was in the balance.
Win those, and you generally win a tight game.![]()
No coincidence that Hase played well and we won the clearances.
Another positive is that I thought Jimmy Walker was a heap better this week. Judging from the lack of abuse , others must have thought the same.
I was impressed also with Grovers work on Lloyd, He did far better than anyone thought He would IMO.
From what i saw they were suprisingly impressive, even when Essendon had the ascendancy.
Buyll**** . You are bagging them and they probably need it.From what I saw, we had an outstanding and dominant ruckman, who was not backed up by his midfield when we really needed it.
And who, when they did win it, were at times indecisive, slow and poor in skill execution.
Overall, they were OK. But we are really missing the ability some bigger, stronger bodies(apart from Pav) through the mids.....Read MJ, Solly, Cooky etc).
I am not bagging them...it was just the way it was. IMO.

1. Grover is number 14, not Haddrill.I genuinely thought your backmen played pretty well today - #14 (Haddrill?) and Parker.
OK then Grover played well, and I reckon Parker did OK too (when he wasn't mismatched on Laycock, anyway)1. Grover is number 14, not Haddrill.
2. Parker played very poor.
About Freo? Precious little, I'm afraid
I had a look at the 'Dockerland' match preview, and it turns out they know less about Essendon than I know about #14
Victorians without fox would only see Fremantle play 5-6 times a year, and Grover very rarely stands out.
Opinion of essendon supporters>>>opinion of eagles supporters.
