Well roundhouse, I am an athlete, just not an AFL (or any) footballer. I have played in many team sports, just not so much in football, because I wasn't so interested in it as a kid (late developer). My friends/family say I should play football now because of my build and they think money is in it... but I don't really have any problems with money.. and my only motivation would be to play for Fremantle because I want them to win a GF (which is kind of arrogant on my part to suggest I could influence them, however that would be my goal).

The only thing really stopping me at this stage is the talks I've had to a few players (not many) who say their bodies feel like they are 40 years old when they are only 26-28. I don't want to be permanently disabled in older life just because I wanted to play football. Oh and also, and I guess whether I am any good at actual field kicking, which is hard to determine until you've been taught correctly how to kick on the run. My speed and strength are already at an AFL level, it would just be my skills...
So you are a self professed "athlete" who can't kick, has never played much football, and is worried about getting hurt.

I am waiting with baited breath for your inspired debut!

Seriously dude, it's great that your family builds your confidence, but your arrogance is making you look like a tool, and is more than a bit insulting to the Freo footy club.

I am not afraid of getting hurt, I just don't want any long term issues like needing crutches to walk when I hit 40. I don't think it is that insulting to Freo footy club, I probably put in more hours to my fitness than a lot of them would or could. Since they have to play a game each week it limits what they can do.

But I understand your opinion, I have to put up or shut up.

If you have never played football, you have no chance of making it in the AFL, which means you will fit right in with Freo!

Hohoho, very funny ;) . We have a lot of great players at Freo Jimbob, and I think only Sandilands hasn't had that much football experience, but when you are that tall and athletic they were willing to give him a chance. We'll be a powerhouse when they all fire.
