1. Pearce - nearly 30 touches and one of the few who seemed switched on and laying hard tackles. Even his cramps were well timed...
2. Neale - good effort for a first full game, doesn't look out of place out there at all. So bloody young...
3. Ibbo - great job down back, very composed under pressure, and also seemed to be able to defend well in marking contests - a few good spoils when he looked right out of position. Duffman should look and learn...
4. MJ - another composed and focused game down back - especially when we were pissing around and falling in a heap, he was one of the few that stood up and kept focus.
5. Griff - did well as a replacement for Sandi, and also wasn't afraid to get in and do the hard work (tackling, smothering) at ground level.
6. Mayne - inspirational stuff, never gave up, and his tackles and chase downs were great.
7. DePig - how much has he improved his kicking for goal!!
8. Rosskoe Pekoe's coaching - great to see us trying a few things and switching players around to different roles when things weren't working. I didn't agree with every move (McFree to forward line was silly) but how great is it to have a coach that actually trys things during the game, instead of just sitting there like a stunned mullet (Connolly/Harves) when things don't go as planned.
9. Mzungu - one of our only form midfielders at the moment. In the absence of much impact from Barlow and Mundy, he has stood tall. Difficult to believe it is only his second season.
10. We won.
