I think the difference is we needed a lift and a spark after a disappointing finals, Brisbane could afford to let Neale come on late, their midfield just won a prelim.I reckon Rach as sub was the right move. Underdone, almost certainly would have blown up if he was trying to keep up from the get go. Lachy Neale's GF influence is as much further proof as I need. But Rach's performance on its own, compared to Max's return, was plenty anyway.

We didn’t have Rankine and no small forward.
Turns out we were desperateMy firm view is that would have been a desperation move and ultimately reduced his performance value.

We will be 7-3 after 10 rounds.
A very tidy first 10 games as we look to defend our minor premiership.
Are you sure?

We'd be disappointed to lose to Carlton, St Kilda at home, Port are a rabble, Richmond and North are bottom 6.Dunno about 7-3, but a good shot to be 6-4 when we start to get Curtin/Keane back.
If Rachele backs up his breakout game and becomes that damaging inside mid to take over from Dawson, things start to look a lot more rosey.
A loss to any of the above should see the end of knuckleheadWe'd be disappointed to lose to Carlton, St Kilda at home, Port are a rabble, Richmond and North are bottom 6.
That's 5 wins so 6 minimum.
Freo next week is why we are under severe pressure.
But we have shown against Bulldogs and Cats we can be in front, albeit unconvincingly, in the 4th qtr and that means we had a chance. That was without the 2 players you mentioned and a few others v the Cats.
Its 6-4, 7-3 or 8-2 if we can somehow get Brisbane.
Set up and attack the back half of the year and if we get those close results going back our way in the second half of the year and build momentum we can be right in the mix at the right time again.

Relax. Take breath. Enjoy the fact you’re alive. If that doesn’t work, I have 6 shots of tequila ready. If that doesn’t work, I have a “friend” who is very persuasive at changing people’s minds. You will be positive one way or another! It won't. One result is just shit happens
