Possible Closing Ceremony Spoiler

Over the last few nights i have seen this green laser beaming out of the Centre Point Tower and Spot Lights all over the city.
This is usually at about 12:30am, so its obviously late for a reason.
Originally i though for the opening ceremony, but now thats gone, i think it may be for the closing ceremony.
It looks very good, however, a little plain. But i have a feeling that for the closing ceremony there will be more than one laser beaming out of the Opera House.

Isn't the closing ceremony going to be a pop concert with a tribute to our classic Aussie movies. ie Priscilla, Crocodile Dundee, Strictly Ballroom. The movies that portray Australia exactly as we are!!!!! hmmmmm.

I understand Kylie Minogue, Savage Garden and every other local Pop performer will be playing. Apparently Silverchair turned it down. What about Powderfinger? Midnight Oil? Yothu Yindi? - All non-existent.

And by the way, If John Williamson sings Waltzing Matilda, I'm tuning out. I am so sick of him.
