OK. I'm sick of the innuendo and suggestions that the Magpies are drug cheats so I'm going to spill the true inside story and to hell with the consequences.

Four of the Pies are Xmen.

Oh, and I've been published five times.

"In endurance athletes, the capacity of the muscles to receive and consume oxygen exceeds the capacity of the cardiovascular system to transport oxygen (Wagner, 2000). The main aim of altitude training is to increase the total volume of red blood cells and haemoglobin mass to improve the limiting link (i.e. oxygen delivery) by increasing the arterial blood oxygen-carrying capa- city, and thus increaseV˙ O2maxand improve performance both at sea level and at altitude. Altitude training may also induce some negative effects on performance determinants (Rusko, 1996; Bailey and Davies, 1997; Hahn and Gore, 2001), thus masking and preventing the use of the benefits from increased red blood cells. One possible reason for the absence of a positive altitude training effect is that even moderate hypoxia during exercise may substantially compromise training pace and decrease mechanical and neuromuscular stimuli, leading to gradual weakening of some specific determinants of endurance performance. Therefore, althoughV˙ O2maxand oxygen transport have a crucial role to play in most endurance sports, attention should be paid to other factors, including neuromuscular and anaerobic characteristics (‘muscle power factors’), that influence endurance performance and the training response to altitude training."

You clearly read a lot of scientific articles.

Mick is just getting desperate. Most teams in the top 8 are playing some variation of the press now and he knows Collingwood are losing their advantage. All this trip is for is to give the players some type of 'confidence' he can use for the second half of the year.

Good coaching? Maybe

lol desperate?

Collingwood losing their advantage? Variations of the press?

'Confidence'?

lol.

Typical dribble from posters who are looking to be the next best "news breaker" so they can feel like a big hero and tell all of their mates that they worked out the "conspiracy" first.

Think of the dramatic implications that being caught of drug cheating would have on the biggest club in Australia. The club would be destroyed. As if Eddie would allow that to happen under his reign. As if MM would even consider it.

It's no secret that Collingwood spend the most on their football department in the AFL. They are always looking forward and being innovative in their practices. If they have been given some advice that may help with the management of players- then why not try it?

Could it just be that they want players to maintain or continue to build their fitness while they recover from injury as quickly as possible so that they can effectively take the field earlier than the conventional method?

HGH gets converted to IGF in the body & IGF isn't illegal in the USA so thats y the Pies r heading over there.

Swan & co will have a few jabs which will repair the odd niggle or two & come back fresh as Daisies!
