... If Carlton are after CEY then hopefully we could orchestrate a higher 2nd round - but this definitely depends on him playing some good AFL footy this year ...
Or maybe something else like a first round pick swap (with maybe other sweeteners) as they will probably be a few spots ahead of us (but they probably wont have a top 3 pick) - actually we don't have a 2nd round pick this year try and upgrade.

Getting back a 2nd round pick might be wasted effort if we're keen on Ben Jarman and someone else is willing to use a 2nd round to match us for him.

Well, it wasn't planned at all.

If it was planned, it was poorly planned as he quit early February. The worse possible timed for list management.

I think he quit and the club didn't bother trying to change his mind.
Something happened during preseason that led to his managed dismissal.

With Shaw having missed the last month due to concussion, what are the chances of him retiring at the end of the year (possibly even mid-season)? I know he's contracted for 2017, but missing this much footy with that sort of injury doesn't bode well. He wouldn't be the first player to pull the plug on doctors' orders, not even the first this year.
Would he be the first player to miss 4 in a row due to concussion alone and return to play.

Use the early 2nd ( as doubt he will be bid on by then unless he goes
on a massive upswing rest of season) then use our 3rd or 4th depending on where the bid comes

Haven't heard anyone knowledgable say he's in the top bracket , damn small so has to be super to be picked up early

Career would have to be in massive doubt
That's a bummer as he bossed it early on in trials and the first couple of games. The concussion scenario have changed dramatically, probably for the better. It would be negligible to play a player unless they were perfect In the head region. I'm thinking if he even took a few panadol during the week they'd say nope you're not playing these days. He's probably nailed the recog stuff ages ago. I don't know, maybe I'm dribbling.

I wouldn't be surprised if a bad concussion that was 2 now becomes 4 or 5. We're worried but we need to take into account the changing landscape, so we're effectively flying blind on this.

It may be the case. There may be a litigious quality to professional sport and concussion that is becoming more apparent around the world.

Nope ....another midget :p ......speedy player, but honestly he again is not the type of player we need

Prestia is a line breaker ......we fixed up that deficiency already at the trade & draft table
Now we wouldn't need Prestia? **** me drunk.

What!! How can he be not what we need, people complain we lack pace and grunt... Prestia=tick! He's an explosive version of Lachie Neale. While need is an accumulator in a Prussia mode, Prestia is in the shuey mould. Absolute star in the making and you wouldn't knock him back in a thousand years. We have to spend the danger dough, so unless giving Mackay another 4 years or vb a golden handshake is an option; id love us
To target a thommo replacement. Prestia is that player. Much prefer to Hurley or Neale.
